[ real life + instagram]❝ I HAVE MY WAYS ❞

"eww, i just stepped on an apple core," xavier complained, lifting his foot off the ground to make sure his 'expensive shoes' weren't fucked.
"stop complaining, we have apple picking to do!" lizzie exclaimed, already jumping up and down to get to the juiciest and ripest apples.
"if you fall and get a concussion, i'm not responsible for your death," matt said as lizzie climbed onto his shoulders, attempting to get this one large apple from the highest point of a tree. lizzie giggled as she reached up just high enough to grab the apple of her choice, matt holding onto her thighs as if she would go flying if he let go.
chris, nick and i skipped across the acres of apples. we were really just running and having fun instead of doing what we originally came here for, which was obviously picking apples for lizzie. i had almost tripped several times but with nick and chris at my sides, i knew i was in good hands to act as silly and move as freely as i wanted.
"all of these apples are either smushed, old, or unripe," i said, squinting my eyes at the several apple trees surrounding us. "literally what am i supposed to do if there's nothing to pick."
"regarding the climate we live in, this is pretty good for an apple farm," nick said, kicking apples on the ground as we walked.
"aria!" lizzie called out from behind, running up to the three of us, also ahead of matt and xavier. "look at this apple i found, it's perfect."
"where'd you find such good apples? all of these are either stepped on or rotten," i said, my eyes flickering between the apple in her hand and her face.
"they're really high up in the trees, let me get on your shoulders and i'll show you." she said before doing exactly that.
i held her up, letting her grab what apples she wanted before letting her down. she had gathered 2 more apples that looked juicy and ripe, just like the ones i've been trying to find.
