I was so young then when i already knew that i badly wanted to be a police, a police who will served the community and the country wholeheartedly and with all honesty.

But as i grew gradually, i realized that my parents were still the one who will make decision for my future…and to my chosen field.

And i hate it, i hate that part about them.

“ano course kukunin mo pre?” zeke once asked, one of my classmate in highschool.

“law.” mapait kong tugon.

“oh! i-i thought you liked p-”

“no, I've changed.” i cut him.

He laughed at me and then stood to go somewhere.

Kaya ganon ganon nalang ang eksenang palaging nangyayari saakin, when i go out, some people will asked me what course that I'll take and whenever i answer them that i want to take a law… they will gasp and had to blink repeatedly just to process what i just answer.

‘i thought you'll take crim in college’ their common reply to me whenever i said to them that I'll take a law course.

Pero to be honest, before i obliged my parent’s want for me which is to take a law course after my graduation, I've already think about it for so long in my room and slowly I've decided to try what they're desiring for me and then if i would like it someday then i had no choice, but to take my second degree then, soon after i finish my law school I'll surely proceed with my true long time dream.

And soon my graduation finally came…

“bukas na pala graduation mo anak!” si dad one time while we're having our breakfast.

“i’m not, mom.”

what?

“makihalubilo kana sakanila anak! mag enjoy ka! this is for you.” si mommy.

“thanks.”

“nak! halika nga dito… mawala kapa!” i heard a woman muttered behind me, siguro isa sa mga a-attend sa aking graduate celebration.
