Ethan, Sarah and Aurora got their plates filled with food. As expected, it was a gourmet variety.
Aurora chose alfredo pasta, apple slices, cocktail juice and choco lava cake for dessert. She became delighted seeing them and couldn't wait to taste them. But, she had to keep a poker face so others didn't realize it was her first time to savor such exquisite dishes.
"Why are you staring at your plate, Aurora?" Sarah tapped on Aurora's shoulder and brought her back to reality. Sarah was sitting next to her, and Ethan was sitting opposite the table; both were looking at her.
"Umm, nothing, nothing", she got embarrassed.
"Hey! Aurora!" Noah came walking behind Ethan.
Liam followed, "Hi, Aurora."
"Whoa, whoa, you guys know her?" Ethan glanced at both of them.
Noah took the seat on the right side of Ethan, "Yeah, bro. I am the head of the student council; why wouldn't I? I was informed way before you guys knew. But I am more surprised that she met Liam too."
Liam took the left seat, "We bumped into each other while I was hurrying to class. What a coincidence, right?"
"How do you know her?" Noah asked Ethan.
"It's crazy; she is Sarah's roommate." Ethan was surprised.
Sarah pulled Aurora's arm and whispered, "Are you some kind of attractive guy magnet?"
It made Aurora giggle.
The boys looked at her, confused.
She cleared her throat, "Nothing, nothing."
"You have met the entire gang, but almost. There is one other idiot, but he is busy with basketball practice. He won't be joining us. His name is Logan." Liam smiled at Aurora.
"He is in the basketball team?"
"Yeah."
"Why? Do you have a thing for basketball players?" Ethan laughed.
"No, I was just asking."
"Hey, I will airdrop you your tomorrow's class schedule." Noah took out his phone.
"Thanks." Aurora smiled.
They all chatted and enjoyed their dinner, which made Bethany nibble on her nails while sitting on a table nearby. "Why is the nerd talking to those guys? She is such a loser; why did they become her friends?" she wrinkled her nose angrily.
"How about we teach her a lesson? Put her back into her place?" her sidekick suggested.
"You stole my words, girl" Bethany smirked.

It was bedtime, so Sarah and Aurora were back in their dorm room. Aurora brushed her long black hair. Sarah watched in awe, "You have so pretty and silky hair. Why do you always keep it braided?"
"Thanks. I like it that way because I don't like to stand out."
"Can I braid it for you?"
"You know how to?"
"I used to practice braiding my doll's hair when I was little. But, never got to try on an actual person."
"Well, now is your chance then."
"Really?!"
"Yeah! I mean, it is less work for me."
Sarah got up from her bed and hopped to Aurora. She gently braided her hair to perfection. Aurora looked at herself in the mirror, "Girl, you got some talent!"
"Thanks!" Sarah blushed.
"Let's sleep now, wouldn't want to be late for the first class of the year."
"Right."
They both lay on their beds. "Good night, Aurora", Sarah tucked herself in her blanket.
"Good night to you too, Sarah."
They both switched off their side table lamps.
Author's Note: Oof! Bethany is going to pull another trick up her sleeve. Will Aurora be smart enough to get out of this one?
