The optics shop was a small, cozy store located in a part of a mall. As soon as you entered, you were greeted by rows of stylish eyeglass frames and colorful cases displaying an array of sunglasses.

The shop had a modern aesthetic, with shades of green and a clean, organized set of collections. There were information brochures about the latest lens technologies and frame styles, which included many add-ons like photo-sensitive lenses, scratch-free and fog-free shields, blue-ray protection etc.

Aurora scrolled her eyes down the brochure. As the add-ons were increasing, so were the prices, which made her shake her head. A middle-aged man appeared behind the counter, "Greetings, Sir Liam. What makes you come here today?"

"Hello, Arthur. This is Aurora and she would like to get contact lenses." Liam smiled and gestured towards her.

"Very well, Miss Aurora," Arthur nodded, "Do you have your eye prescriptions?"

"Ah, yes!" Aurora took a prescription card from her bag and handed it to him.

He wore his reading glasses and examined it, "Alright, Sir Liam, will it be the usual brand?"

"No, actually, get us a more comfortable one for longer wear. It will be her first time wearing contacts." Liam replied.

"Oh, I see," Arthur scanned the self of contact lens boxes and pulled out a specific one, "Here, this one would be perfect."

Aurora took the box and saw the price sticker, "Noooo, Liam. Hell no."

"You should wear the best ones, Aurora. Taking care of our eyes is important," Liam slid out his credit card from his wallet and gave it to Arthur, "We will buy it."

Arthur nodded and took it with him to the billing counter.

Aurora opened her mouth in another attempt to deny but Sarah closed it with her hand, "I swear, Aurora. Enough with you saying no. We are friends there is no big deal in us paying for you! Take a chill pill!"

Arthur came back with Liam's credit card and the bill. Aurora took the bill to have a look but Liam snatched it from her hand, "Nope, not allowed."

Aurora let out a sigh annoyed.

Sarah looked around, "Hey, does anybody know where the washroom is?"

"Go straight and take a right, you will find it there." Liam pointed the way.

"Thank you, Liam!" Sarah smiled, "And, Aurora, you better be wearing contact lenses instead of those glasses when I come back!"

"What, now?" Aurora threw her hands up in frustration.

Sarah raised her eyebrows.

"Ugh, fine! Just give it to me," Aurora took the lenses' box from Liam and Sarah left for the washroom.

Aurora carefully read the back of the box, "Hmmm...."

"What are you doing?" Liam furrowed.

"Read the instructions and safety precautions. I have to make sure I'm doing everything right."

"Safety precautions, I get it. But you won't know how to put them just by reading the instructions. Let's wash our hands, and then let me help you."

"Thanks," she handed it to him, and they went to wash their hands.

---------------Aurora POV---------------

Liam peeled the seal off the lens container and gently took the lens on his fingertip, then transferred it to my fingertip, "Use your left hand to pull your lower eyelid down and place the lens in your eye."

I tried following his commands, but my eye kept twitching, "This sounds easier than doing."

"You know what, let me do it for you for the first time. Once you get comfortable, your eye won't twitch."

I gave the lens back to him and instantly regretted it. He stepped closer towards me, leaving a bare-inch gap between us. His face came close to mine and his eyes could precisely observe my expressions. I went hot and red, I was blushing and I knew it.

Now that he was so close, I studied his facial features in more detail. What took most of my attention were his eyes. They were dreamy and warm. His eyelashes were thick and luscious. The light brown iris glowed in the light and somehow reminded me of a hot cup of cocoa on a snowy winter day.

"And, we are done!" he snapped me back to reality, "Is it comfortable?"

I can't believe I didn't even realize that he placed the contact lens without me noticing, I was hypnotized by those pretty eyes.

"Yes- yes, yeah. It's very comfortable, I don't even feel it," I stuttered.

"That's great," he chuckled, "So, you wanna try the other eye? Or should I?"

"Nope. No, I would like to give it a try. It's okay," I took the box from his hand. I am steamed hot, and there is no way he's coming back so close again.

"Oh god, Aurora, get yourself together," I murmured.

Author's Note: Sheesh! Aurora is blushed red hot! But why? Is she attracted to Liam? Hmmm....
