The next time you walked into the house you knew you had to go straight to the living room. You messaged Sans the night before to ask if anyone had gotten hurt, and with his assurance that everyone was alright you just had to go look at the room.
Your jaw hit the floor when you actually saw it. As vivid a picture as the sounds created it couldn't prepare you for the actual amount of destruction you saw.
The furniture was all gone obviously, but there were also massive holes in the walls. Big enough to require the small stack of gypsum board where the couch used to be. Deep gouge marks in the floor had you equal parts disturbed and curious. On one hand how had those been caused, but on the other side you really want to know?
Papyrus was in the middle of pulling down the ruined drywall while Red measured and cut the new sheets to replace them.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" You offered softly.
"Nah." Red said simply without looking up at you.
"THANK YOU THOUGH!" Papyrus added, probably feeling bad about Red's quick dismissal.
"If you're sure...I kinda feel a little guilty about this one though, will you let me know if you think of anything I can do?" You pushed a little.
"WHAT?" Papyrus asked, turning to face you fully. (Without turning orange this time. Good for him.) "WHY WOULD YOU FEEL GUILTY?"
"I was talking about cooking with Edge without realizing that Razz was in the room and it just got worse from there." You explained shyly.
"YOU SHOULDN'T FEEL GUILTY ABOUT THAT, THERE CHOICES ARE THERE OWN." Papyrus said sympathetically, reaching out to pat your shoulder before seemingly realizing that he was in your space and...turning orange.
Well that didn't take long.
"Shouldn't have to tip-toe around that pompous prick period." Red grumbled, before you could say anything about Papyrus jerking his hand away.
"Well, yeah. It's where you're living right now so that's a given." You agreed easily. "But anyway, I guess I'll go get started if you guys don't need anything...would you be opposed to me bringing you something to drink?" You added, noticing the wet ring around the neck of Red's shirt.
"Do whatever ya want, just stay outta tha way." Red huffed, finally finishing with cutting the board then with a wave of his hand, it turned blue and floated over to Papyrus.
That was so freaking cool. You thought, maybe starring a little longer than necessary at the casual display of magic.
"Ummm, yeah, sure...okay." You replied, obviously sounded distracted, but...common, he just waved his hand and the freaking thing floated across the room, he didn't even have to move, he just picked up another piece of board and started measuring.
"...yer staring." Red's gruff voice interrupted your...well okay blatant staring.
"Oh, right, I'll be right back." You said, rushing off after being called out. You brought them some water throughout the day, staying to collect the cups after the first time, since leaving them ment you had to wash the slurry of grit and chalk dust out of them.
You took a break from doing that around lunch, smiling when you heard the door open.
"Heya Edge, how- holy shit are you okay!?" You gasped when you laid eyes on him. He was dressed down in a loose tee shirt, probably because his usual clothes would run against the bandaging that you could see around his arms and wrapping around his collar in a way that made you think it went on down his ribs. Red marks that were definitely bruising bloomed up one side of his face, from his cheekbone up to the top of his skull.
