Waking up on the couch with Sin, apparently didn't start a massive fight. You were so proud of them. There was no comment made as you got to making breakfast working as normal, eventually waving your friends off and heading home with your cat.
Time ticked by, getting closer and closer to school starting back. You didn't have a set day to go out with Rus, you were just winging it. Texting back and forth casually, suggesting different ideas for dates and times, but not committing to anything.
It was equally as exciting, as it was scary to be planning a first date again. You hadn't been on a date in longer than you hadn't had sex. You and Luther had stopped going on dates before you got pregnant with Asher.
Rus's 'anything's good, I can cover whatever you pick.' attitude was refreshing, but also not helpful. Especially when you would shoot back with a 'maybe I wanna treat you.' and giggle when he turned red, and then nothing would get planned.
Diving into work was normally how you avoided thinking about stuff you didn't want to think about, but it didn't work this time since you worked at Rus's house. That cute distracting bastard.
Another issue arose, when you found out that monsters had heat cycles.
Razz had the day off, though the only indication of that was that he was in his tall red boots, since he was in the home office pouring over files and papers with his boots propped up on the desk.
You brought him a fresh cup of coffee and huffed at him playfully. "You know when I decide what to clean I don't usually factor in boot scuffs on the tops of desks." You teased walking past him.
He just hummed to acknowledge your presence. He hadn't spoken to you much since Rus let his kink slip, but really it wasn't weird at all, plenty of guys liked dominant women.
You decided to reassure him of just that, "Hey...you know you don't have anything to be ashamed of." You started as you bustled around the room straightening the other desks.
"I AM ASHAMED OF NOTHING." He replied.
"Good, cause there's nothing wrong with being into dominant women." You said, not expecting him to laugh at you and remove his boots from his desk with a solid thud.
"YOU SEEM TO HAVE A FUNDAMENTAL MISUNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT IS THAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU, DEAREST." He said, his voice deep and raspy as he approached you. You probably should have taken note of the fuzzy quality to his eye lights or the heat you could feel radiating off his bones as he boxed you in against one of the desks, but your mind was occupied by other things.
There was a smell radiating off of him that seemed to go straight to your brain stem, blocking any higher thought from going through. It was like sour raspberry candy and strong black coffee, thick and syrupy but with bitter undertones.
"I DON'T JUST LIKE STRONG WOMEN, DEAR, I LIKE THE IDEA OF MAKING YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH STRONGER I AM, OF PUTTING YOU IN YOUR PLACE." He purred out, and you kicked your lips, trying to form words while the delicious smell filled the room.
"Wha- where exactly would my place be?" You asked, trying to focus on his eye lights, but they were really hazy, practically bleeding into the blackness of his sockets.
"PREFERABLY UNDER MY HEEL." He teased, smirking at you, and you decided to change the topic. Something you thought would be more neutral ground with him leaning over you like that.
"I...are you wearing a new cologne? It smells really good." You said, laughing a little and leaning back, not expecting the man to lean forward with a desperate whine and slam his teeth against your lips.
