Crowley was yelling at his plants for the 5th time that day.
They didn't do anything wrong, Crowley just needed to yell at something. It wasn't his fault his stupid brain wouldn't shut up when he was around Aziraphale. He should be used to it by now, it's been well over 6,000 years since it started happening. For some reason it has gotten unbearable to live with recently. Why did Aziraphale have to be so horribly sweet and cute?
Crowley groaned, finally deciding to leave his trembling plants alone. He walked into his kitchen and grabbed a bottle of alcohol off the counter, taking a swig. Of course he almost nearly spat it out when he felt a dreadful presence spawn next to him.
"Greetings Crowley." Beelzebub stared at Crowley as he tried to cough out the wine that went into his lungs.
"Lord Beelzebub-" He managed to cough out, slamming to bottle on the counter.
"Horrible timing?" They hummed, blinking slowly.
"Just absolutely dreadful, what can I do for you?" Crowley straightened himself and cocked a brow at Beelzebub.
"I've noticed you haven't done anything terrible since your last slip up at the planetarium." Beelzebub frowned, crossing his arms.
"Uh huh, yeah?" Crowley leaned up against the counter, silently begging Beelzebub to leave so he could drink in peace.
"You need to make up for that somehow, hell is getting restless with you not doing your part up here." Beelzebub continued to stare at Crowley like they were considering turning him into fly food.
"When are they ever not displeased with me? I'm trying my best." Crowley frowned, thrumming his fingers against the counter.
"Don't get too cozy with that Angel, Crowley, I'm watching." Almost as suddenly as he had appeared, Beelzebub was gone. Crowley sneered at the spot Beelzebub was just standing at and gulped down the bottle of wine. He threw the bottle away and left his apartment, heading for his Bentley. Crowley swung himself in and started heading towards Aziraphales bookshop, at least there he wouldn't be constantly judged.
Naturally, the Bentley played Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Crowley only grateful it didn't play it when he was with his Angel. Once he arrived, he pushed open the doors to the bookshop and placed his sunglasses down on their designated spot.
"Angel?" Crowley called, looking around the bookshop. No answer, which was weird considering Aziraphale never left his bookshop without notifying Crowley. He frowned, looking around the back of the shop and in the extra rooms upstairs. Still no Angel, where was he? Crowley stood at the top of the stairs, scanning the shelves.
"Where the bloody hell are you?" He hissed, walking back downstairs. Maybe he was just out for a quick visit to one of the other shop keepers. Crowley sighed, slouching in Aziraphales work chair while he waited, half lidding his eyes.
Some time passed before Crowley heard the doors of the bookshop open. He snapped his gaze over to see what it was. Sure enough, Aziraphale was back in the bookshop looking rather pleased.
"Where were you?" Crowley frowned, his sudden question making Aziraphale jump.
"Oh dear, you scared me!" Aziraphale turned to face Crowley, a hand placed over his heart. "I was just chatting with Nina and Maggie over the road about music and tea recommendations."
"Angel, you were gone for hours, how long were you talking?" Crowley narrowed his eyes, getting up to walk over to Aziraphale.
"Ah, I hadn't realized how much time passed, I do hope you weren't waiting too long." Aziraphale looked down, sounding slightly sad he had kept the demon waiting.
"Ts' alright angel, your chair is very comfortable." Crowley hummed, leaning up against a wall as he watched Aziraphale put away the stuff he had in his bag.
"You use my chair more often than I do, you must really like it." Aziraphale chuckled lightly, glancing over at Crowley.
"Like I said, it's comfortable." Crowley shrugged, his gaze following the Angel. "How often do you even sit down?"
"When I add to my diary or when I'm reading mostly, and when I'm eating." Aziraphale folded up the bag and put it away, moving to stand next to Crowley. "For the most part I'm doing something that requires me to be up."
"Right, I forgot you don't sleep." Crowley crossed his arms.
"I'm surprised you do, it was quite worrisome when you slept for an entire century." Aziraphale sighed, shaking his head slightly.
"That was the best nap I've ever had, tempted to do it again." Crowley mused, giving a mischievous grin.
"If you do, let me know this time so I don't search the entirety of London again." Aziraphale gave a lighthearted chuckle.
"I'll be sure to leave you a note or something angel, try not to miss me too much." Crowley gave a gentle nudge, earning himself an eye roll from Aziraphale.
"Like it would be possible for me to not miss you." Aziraphale leaned up against the wall next to Crowley.
"You're being cheesy angel." Crowley tried to sound disgusted but failed miserably.
"You've never had a problem with it before." Aziraphale hummed, keeping a steady gaze on Crowleys eyes.
"Well- er- yeah I mean- it's insufferable." Crowley choked out, looking down at the floor feeling his body heat up.
"I'm sure it is." Aziraphale brushed his shoulder against Crowleys, nearly making him jump out of his body. "Are you okay my dear?"
"Absolutely bloody perfect, why do you ask?" Crowley forced himself to look back at Aziraphale.
"You seem off, did I do something wrong?" The Angel sounded worried, hesitantly placing a gentle hand on Crowleys shoulder.
"No- no, you didn't do anything angel, I promise." Crowley gave a small smile of reassurance, not wanting Aziraphale to panick.
"Are you sure?" Aziraphale blinked, studying Crowleys gaze.
"I'm absolutely sure, it's not your fault." Crowley gave a firm nod, trying to get his brain to calm down.
"Good, if it's anything you wish to speak about you know I'm always ready to listen." Aziraphale dropped his hand and turned his gaze to scan his bookshop. Crowley looked back down at the floor and let out a small breath. His Angel was going to be the death of him.
