Friendship

Making friends with the Angels was pretty easy for the most part.
Asaph looked around the space that was filled to the brim with Angels of all ranks. He stood a bit off from the larger crowds with his own friends, Micaiah and Lucifer and a few other Angels he had already forgotten the names of. Asaph wasn't really listening, just barely catching enough of the conversation to put in their own input when needed. The Angel was staring across the room, at nothing in particular, thinking about their newest creation.
It was a work in progress still but it was nearly finished and Asaph couldn't wait to put it out into space. He had come up with the name all by itself, Gliese-667Cc. Perfect name if he did say so himself, he just hoped nobody would try to change it.
"Hey, Asaph! Hello!" Asaph snapped back to reality, apparently he hadn't been listening to the conversation as well as he thought he was.
"Huh? Did I miss something?" He blinked, looking over at Micaiah who was the one who yelled his name.
"I asked you a question, do you want to continue working on our Galaxy or not?" They crossed their arms and stared at Asaph, waiting for a response.
"Ah, right yes, we probably should get to that." Asaph chuckled, giving a small nod. Micaiah waved goodbye to a few of the other Angels in the group as they walked away towards Micaiahs desk station. The last thing Asaph wanted to work on was the Galaxy he had been assigned to assist along with Micaiah. He loved being friends with the much shorter Angel but he also loved working by himself.
"Right, it's almost finished so all we need to do is fix up the center a bit because it doesn't look right." Micaiah snapped their fingers and the sheet that contained the Galaxy spawned on their desk. Asaph raised a brow as they looked at the sheet.
"It looks fine to me, I mean it has the same stuff as the other galaxies the others had created." He shrugged, not seeing the issue Micaiah had.
"Can't you see it? There's this really weird gap between these two clumps of bodies." Micaiah pointed to the empty space, it was hardly even noticeable.
"Well I don't know, add another Galaxy inside of it or something." Asaph hummed, leaning up against a wall.
"Is that allowed? I don't want the Lord getting mad at me..." Micaiah glanced around like God was about to walk in and yell at them.
"Sure it's allowed, it'll be unique because it's two galaxies intersecting." Asaph lied, he knew each galaxy was only supposed to be one, not two intersecting ones, but he had to convince Micaiah somehow.
"Well alright I suppose, you are higher ranking than me." They chuckled, flicking their hands lightly over the sheet to make room for a second galaxy. Asaph watched with mild interest, wondering when they would finally be able to actually pull it off of the sheet and into space.
"A few more touches.. there we go." Micaiah set the sheet right in front of Asaphs face. "What do you think Asaph?"
The Angel blinked and pulled it a bit away from their face so they could view it better. It was certainly different from the other Galaxies, Asaph actually started to like it.
"Good job Micaiah, do you think it's ready for creation?" He looked over Micaiah who nodded eagerly.
"Mhm, if you think it looks good then let's go put it out." They snapped their fingers, turning themself and the paper into a little orb of light as they moved away to the open space they reserved for their galaxy. Asaph followed suit, not particularly paying attention to where they were heading. Micaiah shifted back into their preferred form and glanced at Asaph as they did the same.
"You ready to see it expand?" They asked, smiling wildly when they got a simple nod in return. Asaph held the sheet steady as Micaiah grabbed the crank and connected it to the paper, spinning it around to activate it.
"Do you remember the words?" Asaph asked, tossing the sheet to the side.
"I think it was... Let there be matter, let there be gravity... Uhm." Micaiah squinted as they tried to remember all of the words they needed to say.
"You can summarize it to pages 11 to 3,000,206." Asaph muttered close to the Angels ear.
"Right, let there be everything from pages 11 to 3,00,206, and let there be light." Micaiah shut their eyes as they flicks their hands upwards.
Suddenly, the space started to boom with colors and stars and other celestial bodies. Asaph watched as the two galaxies started forming around them, spiraling inwards as the centers took shape. Micaiah cracked open one eye and then both of them, eyes wide with wonder as they watched.
"Beautiful, isn't she?" Asaph smiled, glancing down to see the Angel nod and smile even wider.
"She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen..." Micaiah let out a breath, not daring to take their eyes off the beautiful creation they had just made. Asaph shifted his gaze back to the galaxies, happy that the other Angel seemed to be getting as much enjoyment out of this job as he did.
He caught some movement out of the corner of his eye and tilted his head over to see what it was. It was the Angel he met a while back when he made his first universe. What was his name again? Azira.... Azi.... Aziraphalala? That didn't sound right. It was something like that, Asaph would have to ask again later.
The other Angel was also watching but from a much further distance. Asaph stared at them for a while, then shrugged and turn back to the Galaxies. They looked almost completely done, the centers had come together nicely and we're interacting in just the right way.
"Did we ever give a name for it?" Asaph tilted her head down towards Micaiah.
"I don't think we did... Uhm, how about Antennae Galaxy? I saw some of the previews for the creations going on the 'Earth' place and one of them had these 'Antennae' things, those were cool." Micaiah looked up at Asaph who was fighting off a frown. Why were all the Angels freaking out over this 'Earth' place? It was just one planet, there were tones of other planets all over space that Asaph had worked hard on.
Was it because the Lord was the one who created it? That's stupid, Asaph and the other Dominions create all these cool and unique places in space, and the Lord makes one planet and suddenly it's a HUGE deal. The planet isn't even going to be in the middle of Asaphs creation, it's off to the side so the creations can't even see the whole thing.
"That's a great name Micaiah, why don't we head back now?" Asaph suggested, gesturing back towards where they came from.
"I want to stay out here for a bit longer, if that's okay." Micaiah turned back to the Galaxies and smiled. "I like looking at them."
"Fair enough, see you later Micaiah." Asaph shrugged, looking back at where the other Angel was only to see he wasn't there. Oh well, not his problem. He shifted back into the little blurb of light and headed back to the space.
