It felt like everything was about to fall apart.
It felt like nothing was ever going to be okay again. It felt like heaven was never going to be the same.
Asaph was sitting in her office, thrumming her fingers on the desk. Paperwork had finally been filled out and turned it, but what if none of it mattered?
"Asaph?" Aziraphale looked at Asaph with a wairy expression. "Are you okay?"
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine, just anticipating the start of Earth." Asaph wanted to tell Aziraphale what Lucifer said but he knew Aziraphale would get hurt trying to stop it. So he stayed quite, regretfully quite.
"It should happen any moment now, I heard a few Angels were going to collect Earth from it's casing." Aziraphale hummed, that news only made Asaph feel even worse. Those Angels were going to steal Earth and start a fight, and Asaph couldn't stop it or say anything.
"Aziraphale, what if something goes wrong?" Asaph asked tentatively, looking up at the Angel.
"Nothing will go wrong, this is all a part of the Almightys Ineffable plan." Aziraphale smiled gently, placing a light hand on Asaphs shoulder. Asaph sighed and nodded, getting out of his seat.
"I suppose you're right." He agreed, stretching his hand upward. Suddenly, an Angel ran up to the two of them with a panicked expression on his face.
"Asaph! Come quickly! Earth has been stolen!" Asaph felt a pain of guilt stab through his heart as he followed the Angel, Aziraphale following behind. The three of them hurried into the room where Earth was kept, except it wasn't there.
"Are we sure it hasn't just been placed?" Asaph asked, trying to pretend like he didn't know what was happening.
"I'm sure, I'm a part of the group that was supposed to take it." The Angel looked over at Asaph with horror. "Who took it?" The silence that filled the room got interrupted by a loud screech of pain that was followed by screams. Asaph snapped his head around to where the noise had come from. It had started.
"Both of you stay right here and do not move." Asaph ran towards the noise, knowing he wouldn't get hurt but Aziraphale would. It didn't take long to find the source. In a huge open area, two groups were battling. Ripping wings, swords stabbing into limbs and heads, golden blood covered the floors and every Angel involved. Asaph stood frozen, watching Angels tear each other apart. It was worse than he thought, heaven was split into two, and he didn't know what side to take. Asaph wasn't a fighter, he didn't want to hurt anybody.
"Asaph! Help me!" He heard a familiar voice screech. Micaiah was pinned down by a much larger Angel who clearly had malicious intent. Asaph didn't move, she couldn't move, everything was happening too fast. A flash of movement caught Asaphs eye as it went past him.
"No no no no AZIRAPHALE!" Asaph watched his friend join the battle, throwing the Angel off of Micaiah.
"Stay out of it Asaph, you can't fight!" Aziraphale looked over at Asaph with a pleading look. Asaph shook his head and ran over to Aziraphale, knocking him over before a sword could make contact with his wings. Asaph covered Aziraphale as he looked around to see what was happening. But almost nothing was clear, wings and limbs were being thrown everywhere and all over the place. More blood got spilt every moment Asaph blinked, the screams of pain were almost deafening. He felt something grab his wing and throw him away from Aziraphale. Asaph scrambled to get back on his feet but a hot flash of pain shot through his hip and warm blood trickled down from his side.
Asaph screamed, covering the open wound with a hand, trying to redirect himself.
"Get your filthy hands off of Aziraphale!" An Angel snarled at Asaph, harshly punching him in the gut and pinning him down.
"THATS MY FRIEND YOU LUNATIC, LET ME SAVE HIM." Asaph tried to fight back, kicking and clawing at the other Angel.
"Shut your stupid mouth." The Angel spat, stabbing a spear straight through Asaphs left wing. Pain flowed throughout Asaphs entire body as he wiggled the spear out of his wing and stabbed it into the Angels chest. The Angel stumbled off of Asaph, allowing him to climb back onto his feet. Asaph turned around and tried to figure out where Aziraphale was. He spotted a bright flash of orange on the other side of the room and knew it had to be Aziraphale. Asaph attempt to unfurl his wings to fly over but the pain was too much so he folded them back up and shoved his way over to the Angel.
He wasn't very successful and ended up getting more wounds all across his body, feathers torn out of their wings, spears and swords thrusted into his arms and legs. Asaph dragged himself on the floor over to an open clearing, not even being able to walk through all the pain. Thick golden blood covered her from head to toe, dripping down his eyes making his vision blurry. Through all the pain, she spotted a familiar shape. Micaiah was standing at the edge of the crowed, staring at Asaph.
"Micaiah..." Asaph tried to call for help but it came out as more of a whisper that couldn't be heard. More pain, this time mental, flooded through Asaph as she watched who she thought was her friend, turn around and disappear from sight. Asaph slowly folded her wings around her body to shield herself from anymore attacks, shutting her eyes and looking down. Footsteps thumped loudly towards them and then stopped. Asaph unfurled her wings and looked up to see who it was. Supreme Archangel Gabriel stared down at her with the most disgusted and vile look on his face.
"Traitor, you don't deserve to be forgiven or loved." Gabriel hissed, leaning down closer to Asaph. Asaph tried to scramble away from the Archangel, although her movements were slow and full of pain. She set her hand down behind her only to feel it drop. Asaph turned her head and saw a dark abyss below, never ending and pitch black. They turned back to Gabriel who had a red hot sword pointed directly at Asaphs throat.
"You deserve to perish with the rest of the damned Angels." Gabriel tightly narrowed his eyes, and suddenly it felt like Asaph got set on fire. She turned her head and saw his wings bursted into flames. Asaph let out a screech and tried to put them out. In this attempt, she accidentally moved backwards and felt herself fall. Down down down down into the pit of darkness below.

Everything felt numb
Nothing felt real
Everything hurt
Darkness covered everything
The screams stopped
But the war didn't
The war will never end
Wars don't end
Pain doesn't end
You will never be satisfied
So learn to love the pain
Learn to love being torn apart
Learn to be okay with being lied to
Learn to regret
Learn to hurt
