The function of mehandi was ended few hours before, a few got wink of sleep.
Girls were busy with attire arrangements of the day. The colour was decided by Ruhaan's mother it must be pastel shade but nothing related to white.
"Ye room to lagta hai ab bride's room me convert ho jana chahiye." Atiqa said closing the door. Dua and Atiqa went to their respective rooms after getting Lulu to sleep.
She entered in the room along with some baskets of gift that is supposed to to given to Ruhaan's family after nikkah.
"Ye Atiqa aur Atiq ki ladai chal rahi hai kya?" Fakhir waited till she kept the baskets on the table.
"Haan, Manali ka trip cancel kar diya hai apki phuphi ne." Dua stated the reason.
"Accha!"
"Lekin Atiq Bhai bhi gazab hai pehle saari baatein mante the aur ab dekho ammi ammi karte hai." She plopped on bed. He poured a glass of water and walked towards her. "B mamma thik hi kehti hai ladkiyon ko naraaz hote rehna chahiye value bani rehti hai." Dua thought and thought aloud.
"To tum kab ho rahi ho hum se naraz?" He asked, anticipating her answer to be about some old stuffs that is still not clear for her. Or something that tagged him as SPINELESS HUSBAND.
"Umm." When the blunder is done just go for it. "Tum kuch aisa karte hi nahi ho ki naraz hua jaye." She took the glass of water and gulped it down in a one go.
"Kushnaseebi humari." He grinned, allowing his cheeks to form the deepest and sweetest dimple she'd ever seen.
"Aur agar kabhi kuch aisa hua bhi to main tum se naraz houngi."
"Kyu?"
Because of this dimple.
She managed to just think and not utter the words aloud.
"Ab main apni zindagi me aur miscommunication nahi afford kar sakti. Mujhe koi baat buri lagi to sidhe tum se puchungi, clarification lungi aur baat khatam."
"Wallah! kitni samjhdar biwi mili hai." His cheeks again formed dimples.
And all she could do was thinking of some bad stuff that Lulu used to mention before. Now she doesn't even want to stop doing that, she is legally eligible to think them. Execute as well.
"Tumhe blush karna aata hai." He said noticing her crimson cheeks.
"Kyu sirf tum kar sakte ho?"
He looked away he knows about what she is talking. That night was long and he kept blushing by every sweet things she said. He sensed her stare and glanced at her.
"Khwari bhare din ke baad hum handsome to lag nahi rahe honge, to hume tadne ki wajah?"
"Tad nahi rahi hun. Aur kisne kaha tum handsome nahi ho." Fakhir part his lips in mood of teasing her but her next words caught him off gaurd. "Haan mere samne kam ho lekin handsome to ho."
How can she say that in this shalwar and kurta with shawl he had all her attention on the entire function she wanted to enjoy her best friends wedding but failed to because of his folded sleeves and first two open buttons of kurta?"Sahi hai asmaan pe baitha ke zameen pe fenk diya." He kept a hand on his chest acting hurt.
"Mehandi dekho meri." She tries to divert the topic. He held her hand and brought it closer to him to get a clear view of the design all he likes about henna is the smell. Whenever his mother used to apply he often used to carry his little sister and stood next in line.
He placed a kiss on both of her palms racing her heart fast more than any motor could have ever done.
"Tum Dadi se kya baatein kar rahi thi?" He looked at her and enjoyed the view of shy Dua finding treasure in the bedsheet. "Saare functions ek saath dikhi ho tum dono." She pulls her hands back and dashed to washroom excusing herself to change.
