grantham house, day

Cora comes walking down the stairs, greeting an unseen visitor.

"Hello! What brings you here?"

The visitor is revealed to be Charles Blake. In the background,Jimmy and a housemaid are busy handling large boxes that appear to contain new dresses and hats. The hall is full of them, actually.

"I hope to give Mary lunch and take her to the viewing today, of the Summer Exhibition. Blake answers"
"It's a special one, isn't it? I think my niece is going."

(She absent mindedly picks up a garment from the top of the boxes and looks at it.)
"What a nice surprise for Mary."
"It's not quite a surprise. We arranged it last week."

Unseen by either of them, Mary and Gabriella has started coming down the stairs, too. Charles smiles happily at her sight.

Mary gesturing at the multitude of boxes
"What's all this?"

"Things for Rose. They didn't dare take them down the cellar steps."

"Some people have all the luck."
"Make sure you're back in time for Grandmama."

Mary heaves a sigh as she departs with Blake, who is chuckling.

"well mama, i see you later, i am going to meet up with Eleanor and Elliot" Gabriella says to cora
"be safe darling, dont get into accidents"

gabriella smiled
"i won't"

*at shopping mall*

Gabriella was waiting for elliot and Eleanor but since she doesn't remember elliot and eleanors faces
"Gabriella"
Suddenly someone said Gabriella's name Gabriella turns her head to see who said her name, turns to be eleanor and elliot, they went to Gabriella and eleanor hugged Gabriella
"oh you two must be princess eleanor and prince elliot"
"no need to call us prince and princess Elliot and Eleanor" Elliot says with a smile
"yeah no need, after all we are your best friends"
"ok then, i won*t" Gabriella smiles to
"so is that your hearing aids?" Elliot asks
"yeah, it is"
"wait a minute"
"what?" Both Gabriella and Eleanor  said at the same time

"you are very tall, before, i was taller than you, you seem to be taller than me Gabriella"
"oh, last time I was on check up with dr Clarkson, we even check my height, i am 191 cm tall" (6 feet and 3 inches)
" woah that's tall" Elliot says
Gabriella smiles
"i need to be back in time for my Grandmama"
"then let go"
after hours going to shops after shops
"all walking were killing our feets for nothing, you didn't buy anything Eleanor"
"yes, you said you would buy a dress, not killing our feets and buy nothing" Elliot jumps in
"you two should win a price for being the best in complaining" Eleanor says
Gabriella and Elliot roll their eyes
"well, we should go home, see you two at the ball" Gabriella says
The three bid good bye

Cora turns and faces her brother
"Hello, Harold."
Harold is a little awkwardly
"Hello."
"How are you?"
"A long way from home is how I am."
He opens his arms, and they hug. Robert looks on with a long suffering look on his face. Cora sits down with them

"I hope so, but somehow I doubt it." Harold says
"And this is because you want to put a little space between you and the Teapot Dome business?" Cora ask
"Oh, let's not bring that up again." Robert then says
It should've have worked. I'm not much in a drawing room, but I am good at business-
Martha interrupting him
"Harold, Harold, we, no, we came three and a half thousand miles so we could change the subject."
Harold dutifully shuts up.
