Annie took a deep breath of fresh air as she stretched her arms out to the side. She was glad that the hellish experience running and hiding from clickers was over; and the others were too. They had made it into the downtown area and were walking through an alleyway. "Holy shit. We actually made it." Ellie said, adjusting her backpack to sit more comfortably on her shoulders.

"Everyone okay?" Joel asked.

"Yeah. Let's move." Hazel replied.

"You guys are pretty good at this stuff." Ellie commented.

"It's called luck and it is gonna run out." Joel said. "Which way we goin', Tess?"

Tess mumbled to herself as she looked around. "Uh...capitol building's in this direction." She said, leading everyone a little further down the alley. They could only go so far as an old delivery truck was blocking their way. "How do we get up over this truck? Let's see what we can find." Tess said.

Splitting up from her father, Annie wandered into a small room where part of the wall and been destroyed and found a wooden display cabinet on wheels. Her only problem being the four infected runners that surrounded it. They didn't appear agitated or aware that Annie was there so she was able to quietly pick them off one by one with her bow. She poked her head inside to make sure there were no others, before she went in to get the display case.

It was solid enough and tall enough to support everyone's weights to climb over the truck that was blocking their path. She pushed it over to the truck. "Climb on up. Maybe we can cut through here." She said.

"Yeah, that worked out great last time." Ellie said, earning a glare from Annie. "Sorry. I'm just sayin'." The teen added.

They all climbed up and over the truck and tried entering through a garage door. Joel grabbed hold of the chain next to it and began to pull it down in order for the garage door to open. Suddenly, a noisy cry rang out in the distance. Tess shushed everyone and Joel paused what he was doing to listen. "What? I don't hear anything." He said.

"Okay, double time." Tess said.

As Joel began to pull the chain faster, more infected cries could be heard and they were getting closer. "They're coming." Annie said.

"I know." Joel said. He got the garage door open enough for Hazel, Tess, Annie and Ellie to get through. Annie grabbed the chain on the other side and called for Joel to come through. Joel rushed to get under the partially opened garage door, but he was pulled to the ground by one of the infected. Hazel grabbed his hand and pulled him inside, and Annie dropped the garage door right on top of the monster's head.

"Uh, you've got something on your shoe." Ellie said

Joel looked down at his shoe and frowned slightly at seeing the infected's cut-off arm draped across his boot, before he swiftly kicked it off. "Gross." Ellie muttered.
