“So, you knew about Sebastian?” Ciel asked as he sipped his evening tea. He was now sitting on his bed, ready to sleep. Isabella leaned against his bedroom window, looking up at the moonlight.

“No. I don't know anything about your butler,” she said softly.

Ciel was puzzled. “Then how did you...”

“It's my eyes,” she pointed to her green eyes. “They can see souls. Any souls.”

Sebastian stood near the door, glancing between the two as they discussed him.

“Your eyes?” Ciel asked, putting down his cup on the saucer.

Isabella walked toward his bed and sat down. “My eyes have the ability to see souls. Your butler here has a very dark soul, unlike any human or animal. It's the same color as a shadow.”

Sebastian felt a strange mix of embarrassment and curiosity as she looked at him. His heart raced.

“When I saw you that day coming down from your carriage and hugging you, I felt a tint of darkness in your soul, Ciel, a demon's essence,” Isabella explained.

Ciel was speechless.

“That's how I knew you had contracted with a demon,” she said, her eyes filled with sadness.

“Isabella... I...” Ciel looked down.

“Did those people hurt you? Did they...” Isabella held his hand gently, “torture you, harm you so much that you made a contract with a demon?”

Ciel was quiet, nodding as he remembered the horrors he endured.

“Ciel... I...” Tears flowed down Isabella's cheeks. “I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me. If I had known, I wouldn’t have left for Italy.”

“Isabella...” Ciel said softly.

“When I heard the news, I wanted to rush back, but there were children in Italy who also needed me. I was torn...”

“Archbishop Isabella,” Ciel interrupted. Isabella looked at him.

“It’s okay. I never resented you. I remember you telling me you were going to Italy to save children my age. I’m glad you didn’t abandon them. So please, don’t hate yourself for it.” He lifted her head and wiped her tears.

“Please, don't hate yourself for it. I may have lost faith and contracted with Sebastian, but my faith in you will never fade.”

Isabella was speechless and just cried as she hugged him.

After that, Ciel went to sleep while Isabella was served sweets and tea by Sebastian in the kitchen. All the other servants were asleep. It was already late at night.

“Here’s some chamomile tea, Your Grace,” Sebastian said.

“Thank you,” she replied quietly.

No more words were spoken after that. The silence was heavy.

Sebastian wanted to say something. For the first time in his long life, he was at a loss for words. He always had something to say, but now he hesitated.

Isabella noticed his fidgeting and giggled softly. “Do you have something to say, Sebastian?”

Sebastian flinched and gulped. “Now that you know my true nature and my relationship with the young master... Do you despise me? Since I’m a demon and you’re—”

“Sebastian,” she interrupted. “I don't despise any being unless they give me a reason to. Yes, you’re a demon, a natural adversary of mine, but without you, Ciel wouldn’t survive. His contract with you saddens me, but it was his choice. I have nothing more to say about it.”

“Then you don’t—”

“I don’t,” she confirmed. “But if you ever betray or harm my Ciel, I won’t hesitate to destroy you, inside and out.”

Sebastian understood her words, but her cold demeanor made him feel something strange. He liked it. He liked how she commanded him.

His breathing quickened, each exhale becoming shallower and more rapid.

Unable to contain himself, Sebastian knelt in front of her, taking her hand and placing his cheek against her palm. “Yes, Your Grace. I understand,” he said with a blush. “Destroy me if you want. I won’t stop you.”

Isabella was stunned by his action but quickly understood him.

Sebastian enjoyed the sensation of being submissive.

Isabella covered her mouth, feeling a mix of surprise and amusement.

“Bloody hell, he's cute! He's so willing to submit to me! This is dangerous...” she thought to herself.

“S-Sebastian... What are you...” Isabella trailed off, confused by his actions.

Sebastian purred softly, like a contented cat. He reveled in her scent, her fragrance enveloping him. He couldn’t understand himself anymore. He was his young master's butler, but around this woman, he felt different.

Isabella found him irresistibly cute, a weakness she preferred to keep secret.

“Sebastian!” she suddenly hugged him. “You're so cute!” She pressed her cheeks to his, and Sebastian felt an unfamiliar warmth spread through him. He was flustered yet delighted.

“Never do this to anyone else, okay? You're dangerous!” she said, squishing his cheeks with a grin.

“Do not worry, Your Grace,” he replied with a smile. “I won’t do this for anyone else.”
