After that, Undertaker gave them information. There was no need to make him laugh since he was already enjoying Sebastian's reaction.
He explained that the recent victims he received were missing their wombs. They were slashed, but the wombs were removed cleanly. The Ripper wouldn't stop unless someone stopped him.
After that, they left Undertaker's shop. But before Isabella could step out, Undertaker grabbed her wrist. Sebastian was about to intervene, but Undertaker spoke, “Can we talk for a moment, Isabella?”
She nodded, “Alright, but not for long. Ciel doesn't like waiting,” Isabella replied, glancing back at Sebastian.
“Your Grace,” Sebastian interjected, his tone cautious.
“It's okay,” she assured him.
When the two entered the shop, Undertaker smiled at Sebastian before closing the door and locking it.
Sebastian was feeling agitated. He was overthinking. He didn't like the feeling that maybe the two were making out or worse, making love. He wanted to kick the door down and pull Isabella out, but he restrained himself.
He paced back and forth, unable to shake off his restlessness. He felt a mixture of frustration, jealousy, and concern gnawing at him, but he knew he had to trust Isabella to handle herself.
Ciel had been noticing Sebastian's recent behavior. He initially dismissed it, as he didn't know much about his demon butler. However, he couldn't ignore the fact that Sebastian was acting strangely whenever Isabella was involved. He began to wonder what was going on between them.
“See you next time, Isabella,” Undertaker waved goodbye as Isabella left the shop. Sebastian felt a momentary sense of relief, but it was quickly replaced by shock when he saw the two of them. Isabella's hair was slightly tousled, and he noticed her hurriedly adjusting the ribbon around her neck. Her lipstick was smudged. He glanced at Undertaker and saw lipstick on his lips. Sebastian felt a surge of jealousy and anger rising within him.
“What happened to you?” Ciel inquired, noticing Isabella's disheveled appearance.
“Nothing, it's just Undertaker's way of messing with me,” she replied with a forced smile.
“Messing with her?!” Sebastian thought, his mind reeling with a mixture of concern and jealousy.
Isabella adjusted her appearance and rode beside Grell, who was the designated rider for the day. Sebastian wished she would sit with him, but he knew they needed to discuss what they had learned about the case with the others in the carriage. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room for all of them inside, so he sighed in resignation.
The four discussed the criteria of the killer and other related details during the carriage ride.
Isabella listened in attentively until the door suddenly opened. She watched as Sebastian leaped off the carriage with ease, unsurprised by his agility, given his status as a remarkable demon butler.
Upon their arrival at the residence, Sebastian was already at the door when it opened, surprising Madame Red, who looked puzzled.
Sebastian quickly briefed them on his research regarding possible suspects and strategies. He conveyed the information confidently, impressing everyone with his thoroughness. Ciel smirked at his butler's efficiency.
“Are you sure you're just a butler? You seem more like a military intelligence officer,” Madame Red quipped, raising an eyebrow.
“No, I'm just one hell of a butler, after all,” Sebastian replied with a smirk.
Later that afternoon...
“Your Grace, you're the main character for tonight,” Madame Red announced.
“What?” Isabella froze, her teacup hovering midway to her lips.
“Viscount Druit is a womanizer with a wide range of interests. It's convenient this way,” Madame Red explained, taking a sip of her tea.
“And you thought of me to be the bait?” Isabella questioned, her brow furrowing with concern.
“Why? Do you want Ciel to be the bait?” Madame Red retorted playfully.
“No!” Isabella responded quickly. She didn't like the idea of putting Ciel in danger. “Alright, I'll take on that role. Just make sure no one recognizes me as the Archbishop,” she sighed, reluctantly agreeing to the plan.
“Sebastian, prepare Isabella's dress for tonight,” Ciel instructed.
“Yes, My Lord,” Sebastian acknowledged before leading Isabella into the dressing room and motioning for her to sit down.
As Isabella settled into the chair, Sebastian remained silent, deep in thought as he considered the appropriate dress for her.
“I can't shake this feeling that Sebastian is somehow upset about something. He's been avoiding me since we visited Undertaker earlier. I have to address this or I won't be able to sleep
” Isabella thought, sensing the tension between them.“What color do you want, Your Grace?” Sebastian inquired, gesturing towards the array of dresses before her.
“Red, I guess,” Isabella replied uncertainly.
“Red? Why?” Sebastian asked as he glance at her.
“Well, I've never really worn anything colorful except for white and black. And Undertaker said that I look good in red–” Isabella started to explain.
“Not red then,” Sebastian interjected quickly. The moment Undertaker's name left her mouth, he tensed, his expression hardening.
“Then how about silver?” Isabella suggested.
Sebastian's brows furrowed. “Because it's Undertaker's hair color?” he guessed, his voice tinged with disapproval.
“Yeah,” Isabella confirmed, her voice trailing off.
Sebastian felt a pang of jealousy flare up inside him.
Sebastian slowly walked toward her and leaned against the chair behind her, his hand resting on the back of it, effectively trapping her in the space between his body and the chair.
“S-Sebastian?” Isabella's voice wavered as she looked up at him, her heart slowly pounding in her chest.
Sebastian's voice was low and intense as he asked, "What is the relationship between you two?"
"W-with who?" she stammered.
"Don't play with me! Undertaker and you!" Sebastian's voice rose with agitation. "Are you... Lovers? Did you two already do it? Was he your first kiss?" His words came out in a rush, filled with frustration and hurt. "Then you should have pushed me away when I kissed you earlier! Are you messing with me because I'm your enemy? Because I'm a demon?"
Isabella was taken aback by Sebastian's outburst. This was the first time she had seen him like this. He seemed vulnerable, his usual composed demeanor shattered by his emotions.
“Isabella..” Sebastian's voice trembled with a mix of desperation and vulnerability as he laid bare his feelings to Isabella. This was the first time he had called her name without the usual formality, and it felt strangely intimate.
“Isabella... You're making me feel... Different. I'm my master's demon butler. I should only focus on him and not anyone else. But since you came...” he confessed, his voice softening with emotion, “...you've changed something in me. I know it's not your power, but just you.”
He leaned his head on her shoulder, his usually stoic demeanor crumbling under the weight of his emotions. “So please... Tell me you and Undertaker are not a thing... Please...”
