Viyansh sat in the middle of the meeting, having just delivered his presentation. Now, he was supposed to be listening to the other party's proposal, but his mind was elsewhere. Despite his best efforts to focus, his thoughts were scattered, unable to grasp the details of the discussion. An uneasy feeling gnawed at him, making it difficult to concentrate. He couldn't shake the sense that something was wrong, and it weighed heavily on his mind. Viyansh's heart was restless, his thoughts adrift. A persistent sense of unease gnawed at him, filling him with constant fear and regret for leaving his wife alone at home. He couldn't pinpoint the source of his anxiety, but it grew stronger with each passing second. Vikram, who was also present in the conference room, noticed Viyansh's distracted state.
Vikram: "Viyansh??"
Vikram called out to Viyansh, but there was no response. It was as if Viyansh hadn't heard him at all, his mind completely elsewhere. Suddenly, Viyansh felt an overwhelming sensation, almost as if Vaidehi's voice was calling out to him, echoing in his ears. Without a word, he abruptly dashed out of the conference room, his urgency leaving everyone in a state of shock and confusion. This sudden, unprofessional behavior was completely out of character for Viyansh, and everyone in the room was taken aback. It was the first time he had ever acted so abruptly. His father, sensing that something serious and likely related to Vaidehi was amiss, quickly stepped in. He apologized to the attendees on Viyansh's behalf, explaining that there must be an urgent matter requiring his immediate attention. With a composed demeanor, his father resumed the meeting, trying to smooth over the disruption while his own thoughts remained concerned about what could have caused Viyansh to react so suddenly.
Viyansh burst out of the conference room, his hand immediately reaching for his phone. His heart raced and his eyes widened in alarm when he saw 17 missed calls from "Mera Bachcha." Panic surged through him as he quickly dialed Vaidehi's number, but each attempt went unanswered, intensifying his worry with every passing second. After four or five futile tries, his anxiety skyrocketing, he swiftly dialed their home number. This time, someone picked up, and without waiting for a greeting, Viyansh launched into a barrage of questions, his voice edged with desperation.
Viyansh: "Jaan yaar call kyu nahi utha Rahi ho tum?? Phone kaha hai?? Itne calls kiye the?? Thik toh ho na tum jaana?? Bolo bhi ...."
(Darling, why aren't you answering my calls?? Where is your phone?? I've called so many times. Are you okay, sweetheart?? Please say something...)
He stopped abruptly when he heard someone else's voice from the other side. It was their house help, Sushma Kaki.
Sushma: "Beta, vo vaidehi bitiya ka pair mud Gaya tha sidhiyo pe aur moch aa gayi hai."
(Son,Vaidehi twisted her ankle on the stairs and has a sprain.)Her voice, tinged with panic, immediately heightened Viyansh's concern. The urgency in Sushma Kaki's tone added a layer of anxiety to the moment.
Viyansh: "Kyaaa... Kaaki aap please uska ka dhyaan rakhiye main abhi Ghar aata hu."
(What? Aunt, please take care of her, I'm coming home right now.)He began to move towards the elevator, driven by a sense of urgency, but suddenly halted.
Sushma:- "Beta suno toh, bitiya ghar pe nahi hai."
(Listen, Son, she's not at home.)Viyansh: "Ghar pe nahi hai?? Kaki aapne kaha na jaana ke pairo me moch aayi hai toh aise me kaha hai vo??"
(Not at home?? Aunt, you just said she has a sprain, so where is she?)Sushma: "Beta pata nahi bas keh rahi thi ki aapko bata du ki vo apne Dadu se Milne ja rhi hai kyuki unki tabiyat theek nahi."
(I don't know exactly. She just asked me to tell you she's gone to see her grandpa because he's unwell.)
