Three days may seem like a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things, but for Vaidehi and Viyansh, each second dragged on, filled with longing and an aching sense of absence. Both felt the strain of being apart, their emotions a testament to the depth of their connection. Vaidehi's sadness was palpable; it clung to her like a shadow, affecting everyone around her.  Her family noticed her mood and made various attempts to cheer her up, but nothing seemed to lift her spirits. Meanwhile, Viyansh, though miles away, could sense the storm clouding Vaidehi's heart even through the pixelated screen of their video calls. Her eyes, usually so vibrant, were now dull and distant. He wished he could reach through the screen, pull her into his arms, and erase the sadness that had taken root. He redoubled his efforts at work, pushing himself to complete his tasks as quickly as possible. However, each task seemed to stretch longer than the last, and unforeseen complications kept cropping up, delaying his return. Each call was filled with reassurances and promises of being together soon, but the physical separation took its toll on both of them. They talked about their day, shared their thoughts, and tried to maintain a semblance of normalcy, but the undercurrent of longing was always present.

Today started early for Viyansh, with an important morning meeting demanding his attention. Currently, he was on a video call with Vikram, discussing specific clauses of their project. Vikram, comfortably seated in his living room, sipped his tea as they spoke.

Viyansh: "So papa, I was thinking we should negotiate about th..."

Viyansh was mid-sentence when he suddenly paused, his attention captured by the sight of Vaidehi descending the stairs. She was still in her night suit, her eyes half-closed with sleepiness, moving slowly as if drawn by an invisible thread to the living room.

Vikram: "what happened?"

Viyansh: "Ye itni jaldi kaise uth gayi??"
(How did she wake up so early?)

Vikram: "Kon?"
(Who?)

Viyansh, still looking at the space where Vaidehi had stood behind Vikram, felt a pang of longing. He gathered his thoughts and said.

Viyansh: "Papa, ye itni jaldi nahi uthti hai, aap please ek baar check Karo na kuch hua hai kya."
(Dad, she never wakes up this early. Please check if something is wrong.)

Vikram, noticing Viyansh's lingering gaze behind him, turned around and saw Vaidehi coming down the stairs. Vikram walked toward Vaidehi while still on the call.

Vikram: "Ladoo"

Vaidehi: "Good morning Popsy."

Vaidehi looked a little bit dull, her eyes reflecting her sadness and the weight of missing Viyansh. Seeing her like this sent a pang through Viyansh's heart, knowing that she was struggling with the same deep sense of longing that he felt.

Vikram: "Good morning, beta itni jaldi kaise uth gayi everything all right??"
(Good morning, dear. How did you wake up so early? Is everything alright?)

Vaidehi: "Pata nahi Popsy achanak se bahaut zor se bhook lag gayi mujhe aur nind khul gayi."
(I don't know, Popsy. Suddenly, I felt very hungry, and it woke me up.)

Vikram chuckled warmly at Vaidehi's response, while Viyansh smiled softly.

Vikram: "Kya khana hai? Parathe ha poha or anything else??"
(What do you want to eat? Parathas, poha, or anything else?)

Vaidehi: "vo Ansh ke favourite pasta salads hai na, vo khana hai."
(I want Ansh's favorite pasta salads. That's what I'm craving.)

She said excitedly, her voice betraying her enthusiasm for the dish Viyansh loved.
