The Holi party was now in full swing as more guests arrived, filling the atmosphere with vibrant energy and festive spirit. Among the newcomers were the Oberoi family, adding to the diverse and joyful gathering. Despite the celebratory mood, Vaidehi's relationship with her parents remained strained, a lingering reminder of the past. The shadow of Ritesh's crimes loomed large over their interactions. Ritesh had been sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in Ahaan's murder, Vaidehi's kidnapping, and several other crimes uncovered during the investigation. Vihaan, with his legal acumen, had won the case decisively in just two hearings, ensuring justice was served swiftly.
Viyansh and Vaidehi respectfully approached Harshvardhan, bowing down to touch his feet and receive his blessings. Harshvardhan's warm smile and affectionate words filled them with a sense of reverence and gratitude. Next, they turned to Abhinav and Sangeeta, joining their hands in a traditional gesture of greeting.
Viyansh: "Happy Holi! Welcome to the celebration"
Viyansh said warmly, while Vaidehi echoed his sentiment, her smile bright and welcoming. The festive spirit was infectious as everyone immersed themselves in the colorful revelry. Bright powders filled the air, and laughter resonated as friends and family applied colors to each other's faces. The lawn, adorned with decorations and filled with joyous activity, became a vibrant hub of merriment. The sounds of traditional Holi songs and playful banter blended seamlessly, creating a tapestry of shared joy and celebration.
Viraj and Virat, armed with water colors and mischievous grins, chased after Vaidehi across the lawn. Her laughter rang out as she darted away, trying to evade the playful onslaught from her spirited brothers-in-law. Vaidehi's white lehenga fluttered as she ran, the vibrant colors of the water balloons splashing around her, creating a kaleidoscope of hues.
Vaidehi: "Nahi kar paoge tum dono bekaar koshish hai."
(You both can't do it, it's a useless attempt.)
Viraj: "Areh aise kaise bhabhi maa, aap bas dekhiye."
(Oh really, Bhabhi maa? Just wait and see.)Vaidehi stood at one corner of the lawn, watching as Viraj and Virat positioned themselves at the opposite corner. Between them lay a large, pond-like water feature, specially set up for the Holi celebration. The twins mischievously filled their buckets with water, aiming for Vaidehi with playful intent. In a split second, they hurled the water towards her. However, Vaidehi quickly bent down, dodging the splash. The water sailed over her, drenching Vikram, who was standing just behind her. The sudden turn of events left Vaidehi, Viraj, and Virat momentarily shocked. But the silence was soon broken by Vaidehi's laughter. Her infectious giggles filled the air as she saw Vikram standing there, soaked and bewildered. Viraj and Virat, realizing the gravity of their unintended target, immediately began pleading with their father.
Viraj: "Bhabhi maa aaj bacha lo please."
(Sister in law, save us today, please.)Virat: Papa, sorry papa, galti se hua.
(Dad, sorry Dad, it was a mistake.)Vikram: "Koi baat nahi beta, aao main bhi galti karta hu."
(It's okay, come here, let me make a mistake too.)Viraj: "Kya matlab papa??"
(What do you mean, Dad?)With a determined stride, Vikram walked towards Viraj and Virat, who were still pleading with Vikram. Before they could react, Vikram gave both of them a playful push, sending them tumbling into the pond-like water feature. The splash was enormous, and the sight of the twins floundering in the water drew peals of laughter from Vaidehi and Vikram. Viraj and Virat, now thoroughly soaked, emerged from the water with sheepish grins.
