In the doctor’s cabin, a sense of nervous anticipation filled the air. Vaidehi held Viyana close, gently soothing her with soft whispers, while Viyakshi clung to Viyansh, her tiny arms wrapped around his neck. Vaidaksh, always the protective older brother, stood beside his parents, watching the doctor intently as he prepared the injections. Viyana and Viyakshi, sensing something was about to happen, looked between their parents and the doctor, their eyes wide with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Viyansh: "Doctor please thoda araam se karna ha"
(Doctor, please be a little gentle.)Vaidaksh: "Meri sisters bahaut choti hai doctor uncle unko pain hoga."
(My sisters are very small, Doctor Uncle. It will hurt them.)Viyansh: "Vaise ye vaccination ka alternative nahi hai like any syrup of something???"
(By the way, is there no alternative to this vaccination, like a syrup or something?)Doctor: "Mr. Singhania, you ask this question every time. And please aap ye apne bete ko mat leke aaya kijiye."
(Mr. Singhania, you ask this question every time. And please, stop bringing your son with you.)Vaidehi couldn’t help but chuckle softly at the scene. Viyansh and Vaidaksh were both glaring at the doctor, their protective instincts on full display. Viyana and Viyakshi, still in their parents’ arms, were wide-eyed as they observed everything, their little faces filled with curiosity.
Doctor: "Okay who's first??"
Viyansh, feeling protective, instinctively hugged Viyakshi more tightly as if shielding her from the impending vaccination. Vaidehi, noticing his actions, shook her head gently, amused by his overprotectiveness. She then started heading towards the doctor with Viyana in her arms, ready for her turn, but before she could reach the doctor, Viyansh quickly held her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
Viyansh: "Jaana, aaj rehne dete hai kal aa jayenge."
(Jaana, let's leave it for today. We'll come back tomorrow.)Vaidaksh: "Haa mumma, papa is right."
Vaidehi: "Shut up, both of you."
Viyansh and Vaidaksh fell silent, their concern evident in their eyes as they watched the scene unfold. Vaidehi gently placed Viyana on the examination bed, preparing her for the vaccination. The doctor, experienced in handling such moments, spoke in a soothing tone, trying to comfort Viyana as she administered the injection. Viyana, being a perceptive and observant baby, watched the entire process with wide eyes. The moment the needle pricked her skin, her face crumpled, and she let out a loud, heart-wrenching cry. Her tiny body shook with the intensity of her sobs, the sudden pain overwhelming her. Without missing a beat, Vaidehi quickly scooped Viyana back into her arms, holding her close. She began to rock her gently, rubbing her back in slow, comforting circles.
Vaidehi: "Shhh baby, rote nahi kuch nahi hua, shhh mumma ki fairy strong na."
(Shhh, baby, don’t cry. Nothing happened. Shhh, Mumma's fairy is strong, right?)Vaidehi tenderly guided Viyana's tear-streaked face into the crook of her neck, continuing to rub her back in slow, soothing motions. Gradually, Viyana's cries began to soften, the comfort of her mother's embrace calming her little heart. As Vaidehi comforted Viyana, she glanced over at Viyansh, who was holding Viyakshi tightly, clearly hesitant to take her towards the doctor for her turn. Seeing his reluctance, Vaidehi shook her head with a knowing smile, understanding his protective instinct but knowing it was necessary.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, ye lijiye viyu ko aap ko, aur akshi ko mujhe dijiye."
(Ansh, here, you take Viyu, and give me Akshi.)Viyansh: "Bilkul nahi, tum meri princess ko bhi injection lagva dogi."
(Absolutely not. You'll get an injection for my princess too.)
