RAIMUNDO
"He is here," Inació whispered in my ears.
I waved my hands coyly for him to leave. My eyes moved through the sea of dancers and settled on the man in a black shirt talking animatedly with another man. He was none other than Aemelio. This was just perfect for me.
Carefully, I signaled for one of the sluts to come to me, and we made our way over to the table. Aemelio did not look up to greet me but focused on his guest. He was a man I didn't recognize at all. But, from how he glared at me, he was a powerful soul.
"I would take my leave, Capone," he said softly.
"Do remember everything that we spoke about earlier. It's important to get things in order before we strike," Aemelio said quickly.
The man nodded lightly as he rose to his feet, taking his leave immediately. Aemelio signaled for me to take the vacated seat, and I did as I was told. The waiter came at once, clearing the table as he placed a new glass of champagne and a wine glass to match. The girl I had chosen decided to stand instead, and I felt pleased by it.
"We meet again," I managed.
Aemelio looked at me then, and he nodded lightly. He signaled for a guard to come around and mumbled something before leaning on his chair. It was the first time that I noted that guards surrounded him. This would not be so easy to handle, or I might get myself in trouble.
"So, you wouldn't trail me to this place for nothing, Raimundo. What is it?" He asked coldly.
I shrugged in response. "I'm not trailing you, boss," I managed. He said nothing, so I continued. "The thing is that I have been trying to get you to come to my place, but it has been proving so difficult. I had to clench at the little opportunity that I got."
"I don't like to be disturbed continuously. If I have something to tell you, then I will do so. There is no need to seek me out," he snapped coldly.
Bloody bastard!
"There is a need to do that," I said as I leaned against the table. "You're right here, and I have an offer to make."
"What offer?"
The silence seemed thick suddenly, but I didn't care. I pulled the checkbook from my pocket, turning to a black page as I signed right on it before pushing it to Aemelio, who was looking at me suspiciously.
"I want Evangelina back, and I am willing to pay for that to happen," I gritted out.
Aemelio took a sip of his drink. "Do you think that this is a joke?"
"I wasn't joking. I had made a mistake in judgment and realize now that I was a fool for selling her in the first place. She is one of the best sluts in the business, and I need her back. Do you understand?" He said nothing to my question. "Name your price, and I will make it work simultaneously."
Looking at Aemelio in the eyes, I tapped at the checkbook. Aemelio looked at my hand for a space of a second before rising from his seat and flinging the cheque in my face. I gritted my teeth as I grabbed a hold of the cheque, placing it between my thighs.
"Don't be angry," I choked out.
He placed his finger against his lips in a bid to silence me. "Just shut up, Raimundo. You seem to have forgotten who you're talking to, so you spit out all the nonsense that comes out from your lips."
"I forgot nothing," I muttered as I rose to my feet.
Aemelio lunged forward, only to throw the glasses on the table with the back of his hand. The grades around him pointed the gun at me as they glared at me in rage. I took it all in, wishing I could break his head. I wouldn't say I liked that the man thought he had an edge. If he were alone, then I would have given him the beating of his life.
He pointed at me with one of the broken bottles, using the other hand to stop his guards from firing at me. "You have the guts to talk to me like that just because I signed a deal with you?" He asked in disbelief as a cold smile touched his lips. "You should be thanking me because I haven't coveted all you had yet.'
"There is no need to threaten me, Capone. Since we merged, you have not tried to extend the contract that we share. I don't see the effect of it, and it's only on paper. I need my girl back," I grunted.
"You won't get her, bastard."
"What?"
"You heard me. I never give away my toys. She is now mine, and I will do to her as I please. If you try to take her from me, then you would wish we hadn't crossed paths. I don't joke around with things I care about, and I would suggest you get better advisors," he snapped coldly.
I placed a hand on my bald hair in rage. "You..."
"Swallow what you wanted to say because I really don't need to hear it. Evangelina is my private property now, and I can't let another man touch her. You better get that into your thick skull, Raimundo, or it might be disastrous for you," he grunted before leaving.
Fuck!
That fucker could say all he wanted, but I would get her back. He may be a dangerous drug lord, but I also had my ways. I haven't gotten anything from the whole transaction, and I would not take more losses. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed the same girl behind me.
I glared at her, and she flicked in response. "Get to my room and strip. I would be coming to unleash my demon on you."
