Outside of football, Jude enjoyed the celebrity that came with being an athlete of his caliber. He didn't care for fame, but the ability to use his platform to help others was something he was thankful for.
He had spent the last three hours in a room full of children from local schools around the city as they asked him questions ahead of Real Madrid's appearance in the Champions League final.
As fun as his morning had been, Jude was ready to spend time with people a little closer to him in age. He hadn't seen Naya since the morning after the party, but they'd kept up with one another over the phone.
The pair had made plans to meet up once Naya had completed her practice for the day and his event came to an end.
Naya explained to Jude earlier in the week that she had officially started training for Wimbledon after qualifying for the tournament following her recent win.
He understood more than anyone the importance of hard work and dedication, but he also knew that to maintain a healthy lifestyle, balance was needed.
Jude hadn't made any plans as far as what he and Naya were going to do, but he knew she needed to relax, they both did.
After the event ended, Jude said goodbye to the children before following security as they escorted him back to his car.
As he drove through the city, Jude couldn't help but feel excited to catch up with Naya. Their friendship had blossomed quickly. Outside of the fact he could slowly feel himself growing addicted to her, he enjoyed their friendship.
She was someone he enjoyed being around, something he found out after their very first meeting.
They had a natural chemistry that made their conversations flow effortlessly, and Jude appreciated Naya's down-to-earth personality. As he parked his car near the tennis courts where Naya was practicing, he couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing her.
Walking towards the courts, Jude spotted Naya hitting the ball with precision and focus. He watched her for a moment, impressed by her skill and determination. When she finally noticed him, a bright smile lit up her face, and she waved him over.
"Practice went overtime today, I just have to shower and change really quickly then I'm all yours," Naya smiled, making Jude do the same, as Maria looked between them knowingly.
Politely waving at Naya's coach, Jude explained that he would wait in his car for her until she was ready.
"Something is going on between you two," Maria said with a knowing smirk, that grew into a smile as she watched Naya's eyes widen.
Naya blushed slightly, trying to play it cool. "We're just friends, Maria," she replied, but a small grin betrayed her true feelings.
Maria chuckled. "Sure, just friends. Well, don't keep him waiting too long," she teased before walking away, leaving Naya with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
