Although Denise and Mark handled both of their sons' affairs off of the football pitch, Jude understood the importance of learning the business side of the game.

With both of his parents over in the UK supporting their younger son Jobe, Jude was to meet up with his accountant for a financial planning session. As a rising star in the football world, Jude knew that managing his finances properly was crucial for his long-term success. He wanted to make smart investments, save for his future, and ensure that he was well-prepared for life after his playing career.

During the meeting, Jude's accountant went over his current income, expenses, and potential investment opportunities. They discussed setting up a retirement fund, creating a budget for his lifestyle expenses, and diversifying his portfolio to minimize risk. Jude was eager to learn and absorb as much information as possible, knowing that this knowledge would serve him well in the years to come.

"Before we conclude I just wanted to go over a few monthly payments that could possibly be outdated," Jude's accountant said, flipping through his notes. "For example, five-thousand pounds is paid monthly to someone named Anais Francis - do you still want this to continue?"

Naya hated the notion of eavesdropping, but at the mention of Jude's ex she couldn't keep her eats from perking up.

Naya's mood shifted almost instantly, she had so many questions, all of which she planned to ask once Jude's accountant left his home.

As Jude's accountant continued to list off outdated monthly payments, Naya's mind raced. She couldn't help but wonder if the fact that she was still financially backed by Jude the reason she was so comfortable throwing herself at him, even though she knew he'd moved on.

Why she felt so comfortable showing up to his games without any invitation from him. He was still in her life regardless of how often they saw each other or spoke.

Naya's thoughts swirled as she tried to make sense of her feelings. She knew deep down that she needed to confront Jude about their financial ties and set boundaries. It was clear that their past relationship was still affecting both of them in ways they hadn't fully addressed.

As Jude's accountant packed up his things, Naya waited patiently for them to be alone.

Once the accountant left, Naya took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead. She turned to Jude, who was looking at her with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"Jude, we need to talk about these monthly payments to your ex," Naya began, her voice steady but tinged with emotion.

"What about them? I just asked my accountant to have them stopped." He said, a hint of caution in his voice.

"Would you have asked for the payments to be stopped if I wasn't in the room?" Naya asked, slightly dreading his answer.

"It's just money, Naya, and it's not that much. I didn't think it's as detrimental as you're making it out to be," Jude explained, unsure of why she was getting so upset.
