"It's pretty pathetic how much of my happiness is based on other people losing," Naya laughed, making Jude do the same.

"I completely understand," he smiled. "Sometimes I play against men that I regard as my brothers, but for 90 minutes on the pitch, I want to crush them and their teammates."

Outside of their sexual chemistry, Jude enjoyed the friendship he had with Naya. In some ways, they were polar opposites, and in others, they were exactly the same.

"My coach always used to say to me, 'There are no friends on the tennis court, even when you're playing doubles'," Naya reminisced as Jude's eyes traced over her while she spoke.

In all honesty, Jude didn't know what to make of their situation, but he knew he enjoyed being in Naya's presence.

He liked watching her eyes light up as she spoke. He found her passion for competition and winning both exciting and endearing. Their conversations were always lively and engaging, filled with banter and laughter.

As they sat together, Jude couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and ease with Naya. It was as if they had known each other for much longer than they actually had.

Lost in thought, Jude realized that Naya had stopped talking and was now looking at him with a curious expression.

"What are you thinking about?" Jude blinked, brought back to the present by Naya's question. He smiled, feeling a warmth spread through him at her genuine curiosity.

"Just how much I enjoy our conversations and spending time together," he admitted, his eyes meeting hers.

Naya's lips curled into a soft smile, her gaze holding his. "I feel the same way, Jude. It's like we just click, you know?"

He nodded, feeling a connection with her that went beyond just physical attraction. There was something deeper, something that felt right about their friendship.

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, the air between them filled with unspoken understanding.

"I'm glad we met," Jude finally said, breaking the quiet moment.

"Me too," Naya agreed with a soft smile.

In that simple gesture, Jude felt a rush of emotion. Maybe their connection was more than just friendship. Maybe there was something special brewing between them, something worth exploring.

As they sat together, basking in each other's company, Jude couldn't help but wonder where this newfound bond with Naya would lead them. But for now, he was content to just be in the moment.

Their dinner was fun, despite the blurred lines they danced on. They got on as though they had been friends for years.

They spoke about Jude's football career and Naya's tennis as they dined on Asian cuisine and shared stories of their favorite matches. Jude found himself opening up to Naya in a way he hadn't with anyone else before. There was a sense of trust and comfort that he couldn't quite explain, but he didn't question it.
