Although the most insecure and uncertain parts of Naya wanted to hide away from the world, she knew it wasn't conducive to her well-being.
She'd been staying with Jude for a little under a week, and in that time, he'd practically been waiting on her hand and foot when he wasn't training with his team.
Drew and Caleb, as active tennis players and culprits in Naya's sexual assault, were being publicly shunned. Their upcoming matches had been canceled, and any tournaments they'd entered had made it their business to take them out of contention.
Drew had released a statement claiming his innocence, while he acknowledged what took place at his party, he completely denied having any involvement in what happened.
Despite not knowing how to receive it, the love and support Naya was getting from people all over the world made her feel stronger and more determined to move forward.
She still had yet to make a public statement in the wake of all that was going on, but she was slowly finding her voice and the courage to address the situation.
Jude watched Naya from the doorway of his bathroom as she made sure her hair and makeup were perfect.
Although she currently faced her own turmoil, she refused to let it hinder her from supporting Jude. As the new face of Louis Vuitton, a party was being held to celebrate the partnership between the fashion powerhouse and the world-class football player at one of Madrid's most exclusive clubs.
"You look incredible," Jude said as he stepped into the bathroom, coming to stand behind Naya as she put the finishing touches on her appearance. Naya smiled at him through the mirror, grateful for his presence and unwavering support.
"Thank you," she replied softly, feeling a sense of calm wash over her as Jude wrapped his arms around her waist. "And thank you for putting up with me this past week."
Jude pressed a gentle kiss to her neck, his touch grounding her in the midst of the chaos that had become her life.
"You don't have to thank me, Naya. I want to be here for you," Jude whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.
Naya turned around in his embrace, looking up into his eyes with a mixture of gratitude and affection. "I don't know what I did to deserve you," she admitted, feeling a surge of emotion welling up inside her as she craned her neck looking into his eyes.
Jude smiled, his gaze soft. "You're you," he answered simply.
"You are the most beautiful, sexy, conscientious, loving and kind person I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing," he continued, turning Naya in his arms so they both faced the mirror, she watched closely as his hands wrapped securely around her waist.
