"I was told I had to wash it first before riding" I muttered. Slightly to myself, and slightly to Raiden.
"Words already spread through the house about the bet" Raiden chuckles to himself. "I kinda feel bad for you."
I funny look up to him, "why?"
He smiles, "because once this has begun there is no going back."

Finally when it was time for dinner and Katlynn called for everyone.
Tonight was grill night. We all surrounded the picnic table as she served us our burgers and hotdogs. Raiden helped his dad grill and the littles helped carry food out.
Paper plates were handed out as Daniel set a giant plate onto the table, which was pulled with hotdogs and hamburgers.
As soon as Katlynn and Daniel sat everyone jumped to action. Hamburgers and hotdogs were thrown to plates as everyone grabbed for toppings. The giant bowl of lettuce was quickly decreasing as well as the other things. Through the chaos Katlynn and Daniel grabbed their food with ease while dodging the kids.
Realizing in needed to eat I jumped to action as I grabbed a burger and thew a bun, bacon, and lettuce on. When I took a bite the lettuce was nice and crunchy and crispy. How I liked it.
The table was full of chatter as everyone talked about dinfrent things.
"So how was school Esme?" Katlynn asked me through the chaos. Slowly the sound died down.
I took a gulp to calm my nerves as I said, "fine."
"Make any friends?" She asks. It wasn't like my mom when it was more like an interrogation. It was like she was asking as a normal friend of how my day was and what the latest gossip was. I liked it.
"A few." I say.
"Are they nice?" She asks. I nod.
"Well that's good"Katlynn says. And that was the end of the conversation.

That night after I threw on some old shorts and a t-shirt I played down on the bed and opened a book. Max laid down beside me, his eyes blinking tiredly.
The only light on in my room was a very dim lighted lamp beside my bed. It was a good reading light... I wondered if Katlynn picked it for my room on purpose...

I was determined to make this day better than the last. Of course yesterday wasn't fully terrible m, but today I needed a goal. And that was it.
Classes before lunch seemed to drag on for an eternity. To make it better sweet Cailyn was ready with questions by lunch time. I didn't fully mind them though... it was nice to know someone cared so much...
One school was over I was quick to grab my bags so that I wasn't late. If I was they literally leave me behind. That's what Raiden warned everyone anyways...
Running own the door I run straight into someone.
"Hey! Watch it!" Looking up from the books I was picking up I see a brown haired girl.
"Sorry" I say. Here she is!!!! Who do you think miss 'scoff-er' is?
Second question, what do you think about the bet?
Please remember to vote and comment your thoughts?
