My foot lands on the bank, but right before I was able to start walking (or hobbling), I lost my footing and feel into the river.
The water rushed over me as I was carried down stream, at first it wasn't fast, but before I could start swimming to the bank the water started to speed up. I had to use all of my strength to keep my head above the water, basically only one leg working correctly.
I took a breath of air just in time before I went over a tiny waterfall that had about a five feet drop.
The water was moving even faster now and I was struggling even worse to keep up. The trees were moving by me so fast and with the water sprawling over my eyes I could barely see my surroundings.
I try to scream for help but the water drowned out any sound that I could muster up.
The river makes a slight turn and I see a tree branch, I try to stay above the water as I reach for it.
Closer... closer... no!!!!
The branch becomes a thing in the distance as I continue to struggle.
I try looking around for something else I could grab. That's when I hear an even louder sound of rushing water. Whatever it was it obviously wasn't good.
I try to paddle to shore as hard as I could, but I was already so tired from keeping myself afloat it was no use.
Looking up I see a giant rock coming toward me. Oh god!!!!
I try paddling even harder as the rock comes rushing towards me.
Smack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And everything goes black...

When I awoke, I could only hear beeping. I slightly peaked open my eyes and I could see I was in a white room. That's when I realized I was in a hospital bed.

I tried sitting up, and flew off my blanket to see a cast on my ankle.
Standing and taking out the IV's I hobble over to the small bathroom across the room and looked into the mirror. I had a giant patch over my right temple. Which I guess was because of me smacking into that rock...
That's when I really looked into the mirror. My hair looked longer. Darker maybe even. I looked older... could that even be possible?
A gasp comes from the hospital room, I walk out to see a nurse gapping at me in shock.
"Your... your awake?!" Her mouth was open in shock. Almost like she was looking at a ghost.
"Yes..." I say. "Where am I?"
"The red oaks hospital... in... in New York..." the nurse says.
"New York?!" How on earth was I in New York?! "But I was just in Wyoming! I'd fallen off my horse and feel into the river..." My mind was reeling a thousand questions per second.
"Please calm down miss" the nurse says. "Let me get the doctor and call your family. We can explain everything then."
What was going on?!
