And better yet, right at 5:30 Katlynn was calling out the word that sent war through the house. "DINNER!!!!"
As soon as the word was said I could hear footsteps from under me. I set the book down that I was currently reading and walked die. The two flights of stairs to get to the kitchen which was already bustling with movement.
All of the kids sat at the giant dark oak wooden table that their dad Danial had made a little after he married Katlynn. The house had been in his family for generations, mainly being a cattle ranch. But now they do a lot with horses too.
That's when unnoticed another boy, who was Benjis age. He looked just like him, except one he's was blue while the other was brown.

When I walked to an open seat and went to sit Benji stoped me, "that's for Jace."
Nodding I walked to another seat, "That's Miles' seat" Katleen says. Then I realize there aren't any seats left.
"Grab a chair from the kitchen and give Esme yours"Daniel tells Kathan. Ke got up reluctantly moving his plate to another open spot and walked into the kitchen to get a chair. Sitting down I feel like huddling together with all of the quick peaks everyone was going me. I was foreign. I was dinfrent.
Max sat at my fest quietly, and laid by one of their dogs whose same was Bailey. She was a New found-land.

Soon Katlynn came out with a steaming pot of noodles. It was pasta night. We'd all slop some noodles onto our bowls and poor either Alfredo or red sauce onto them. It was my favorite.
Once Katlynn sat to Daniel's right in the spot she always sat at we dug in. When everyone was done we one by one washed our own plates and put them on the drying rack and helped Katlynn carry the leftovers back to the kitchen.
Then as everyone went up to my room I was stoped by Benji, "Esme, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure" I say.
"Do you like animals?" He asks.
I nod, "I do have Max" I point to the dog standing beside me. He hadn't left my side since mom left.
"Okay" he said and darted away.
Pushing the weird encounter away I walk to my room. Sitting on the bed I sigh and reach for my book when I hear a squeak. Turing I see my pillow move.
Lifting my pillow I scream. A rodent sat there staring at me with its wide eyes. Screaming I jump off the bed. Max barks.

Then Benji and his little brother Billy ran in.
"Mr. Squeaks!!!" Billy yelled running to him.
Benji turned to me, "I thought you said you liked animals!"
"Not when a rodent is in my bed!" I say.
Jace runs in, "what's wrong?" He then sees the Guinea pig. "What's Mr. Squeaks doing here?"
"Making friends" Billy says.
