"You good?" My mom looks up to me in the mirror as we drive back from to Wyoming. It feels like yesterday since I've been here. But no, it's been a few months instead. I'd been in a coma. It was now a year since the accident.

I've been staying at my home with mom working extra hard to catch up on school (which I'd missed my entire sophomore year of), so that I could continue with my junior year like nothing had happened. It was now summer and if things went well I could continue school here for my 11th grade year. Truthfully I didn't even know if I wanted to stay...

"Yeah..." Today was the day that we were going to visit them. The Jackson's.

I haven't spoken to any of them yet since I've woken up, so it was definitely going to be award when we arrived. Katlynn had made plans with my mom for me to stay in my old room upstairs since some of my things were still there and they agreed.

Max laid on the back seat beside me as we pulled down the long driveway. Deja Vu, huh?

Katlynn was standing at the door waving to us when the car stoped. My mom smiled to her as she got outside of the car and walked up to the porch. They hugged and said hello.

Getting out of the car and letting Max hop off the seats, out of the car, and onto the ground. Now if it really would be the same that horse would come running towards me right about now.

Max stands beside me as I take in the view of the house and barn. It looked the same, the only big difference that I could see was the new round pin by the main barn, that was as of right now empty.

I started to walk to the house when I hear a loud bang. A horse comes barreling towards me at full speed. Something told me to run, but for some reason I felt I should stay... maybe I have lost it.

Realizing it was only inches from me I duck behind the car pulling Max with me. The horse only missing by an inch.

My head whips around as I watch him continue to run at full speed. His body flowing to the movement as if it were life itself. It felt... calming.

I have no idea how long I was watching it run away with Aelia riding her horse after it trying to catch up. I was then being shook by my mom.

"Esme!" Her voice sounded terrified. "Are you okay?! You're just standing there! Are you in shock?! Oh please don't be in shock I was supposed to be watching you closely for your doctors! Esme??"

"Let her breath Amy" Kaylynn thankfully grabbed one of my mom's hands to help her calm down as I quickly shake my head to get myself out of my daze.

"Amy I sware this doesn't happen often, and that I'll be taking a much better care than what just happened." Katlynn tells my mom.
