I woke up by a rock thrown in my face, making me wake up in surprise. "Wake up Asinego, you got a long day ahead."
I growled and rubbed the place he hit. "I would rather go back to sleep than see your face as the first thing in the morning."
Minho rolled his eyes not minding to answer. He opened the door and gave me a hand. "C'mon, you need to go visit your hut first."
I dusted my pants once I was back on the ground. "It's not like I am gonna use it anyway, half of the time I'm here." I sighed.
"Yeah, but once you run in the maze I guarantee you're gonna need your free rest."
I looked at him confused as I followed him in a corner of the glade. "What do you mean?"
He chuckled with a big smirk on his face. "You'll see."
I thought I would always hate him, but he wasn't that bad actually. Maybe, just maybe I could try to be less aggressive.
"Here." He pointed to a small hut built with wood that compared to the other was way more recent. I opened the door and nothing was very different from the one I already visited.
"I'll let you change then meet me in the map room."
He didn't let me answer and already ran away. All the clothes I saw on my first night were here. I quickly switched into a blue short-sleeve shirt and black shorts that stopped at my middle thigh.
While I was changing my shirt, I realized something weird about my wrist. The bracelet was way more tight and it was slowly turning red. I tried to touch it and move it but each time I tried to do something it got worse. My fingers arched trying to reach the blood that wouldn't come to them. Until a voice popped.
"Don't fight Evelyn, it's only get worse."
It wasn't the robotic voice this time, it was an older man's voice. Something was familiar about it, maybe I had none of this man in my past life. I closed my eyes to open them to a whole new perceptive.
The same thing that happened some days ago was happening again, and I couldn't do anything about it.
In a white room, there were just two of us - a boy and me. The air was humming with the sound of countless computers and electronic devices. The boy had warm brown hair that matched the color of his eyes. He was dressed in a white shirt, just like me.
It was a memory for sure.
"Evelyn, do you understand what our plan is?" Spoke the boy.
"You want us to go into the maze? But, what if something happens to me, I'm not like you!"
I was definitely talking about the immunity I didn't have. It was the one thing that was repeating in my dreams
"Nothing happened to Newt." The boy and the other version of me stared at each other for a while as if there was a bigger meaning hidden in our looks.
Now there was Newt in my memory, great. Who's next, Gally?
"We got to help them out, and I rather go help my friends than stay here any longer."
"Does Leo know?" I ask.
Who the hell is Leo?
"What?" He made me repeat.
"You heard me, does he know?"
He nodded a yes and ran his hand through his hair. I slammed my fist on the table and stood up in frustration. He attempted to grab my arm but missed, so he went after me.
