“Minnie?”

Hyunjin tilted his head softly
in confusion when instead of
getting in bed with him, the
younger male sat down on the
edge of the bed, back facing
his boyfriend.

“What's wrong?”

But Seungmin couldn't bring
himself to answer, too scared
of voicing out what had kept
him awake the past nights.

Instead he only turned a bit so
he could briefly look into his
boyfriend's worried eyes before
he placed an all too familiar
item on the blanket.

The little stuffed bunny plushie.

Cute, floppy ears, light orange
striped tummy and an innocent
smiling face on it.

“Where did you find this?”

“The bag behind the couch.
I assume you put it there?”

“How did you-”

“I'm cleaning our home properly.
I'm not sneaking around and
rummaging in your stuff, you
know that I'd never do that.”

Hyunjin nodded in understanding
as he crawled a little closer to his
boyfriend, reaching his hand out in
an offering manner in case Seungmin
needed physical contact for comfort.

He looked so unbelievably tense,
the ravenette was worried that he'd
scare the younger male if he touched
him without a warning.

“Jinnie, why..
Why did you buy this?”

The puppy-like boy asked quietly
as he grabbed Hyunjin's hand with
both his hands and gave it a soft
squeeze to calm his racing heart.

“Do you remember the Thursday
I said I'll be home a little later?”

Seungmin nodded softly.

“I was in the mall looking for a home
store to get a new pan because I..
I destroyed the small one somewhat.”

The ravenette chuckled lightly,
making Seungmin smile too
at the memory.

Hyunjin had tried to fry a fish but
for some reason he had thought
cutting it with a sharp knife in
the pan was a good idea.

It was not, the coating was
destroyed and Seungmin
not quite amused.

“But when I looked for a store,
I passed this baby and children store.
And I thought of Felix and Changbin,
I mean.. The twins are due in a few
weeks, right? And maybe..
I just wanted to have a look.
Everything is so cute and tiny and
it's not illegal to have a look, right?”

Seungmin nodded,
squeezing Hyunjin's hand
in reassurance when he noticed
how the older man began to defend
himself for his choices.

Of course the ravenette was right,
he was allowed to look and the
things really were cute.

Seungmin wouldn't get mad
at him for that.
