Hyunjin would have never
thought they'd ever find
themselves in such a position.

The moon was shining brightly,
leaving white stains of light on the
parquet floor of their bedroom as
Hyunjin ran his fingers ever so
gently through his boyfriend's
grape-colored hair.

Seungmin was already sleeping,
chest moving rhythmically as
he breathed so peacefully.

He looked so utterly comfortable
in the older's arms with his head
resting on Hyunjin's bare chest.

And it still felt so unreal
to the older male.

They had really, actually tried.

For the first time.

He knew that it was absurd to
expect that the first try would
succeed and he also didn't get his
hopes up either, he was already
over the moon and beyond about
the fact Seungmin had actually
changed his mind.

So he only smiled softly at the boy
in his arms and pressed his lips
against the younger's forehead
when Seungmin mumbled
something in his sleep.

He had done so well.

Of course it had been absolutely
awkward for the both of them
at first, Seungmin being the
already self-conscious bean he
was and Hyunjin not really
helping either since he was just
as inexperienced when it came
to switching roles.

But at the end of the day they
had managed because they
loved each other.

“You did so well, pup.
I'm really proud of you.”

Hyunjin carefully brushed a few
strands of grape-colored hair away
from Seungmin's forehead, hand
wandering down to his cheek to
trace his thumb over the beautiful,
soft skin.

Just seeing him like that,
observing his face made him
realize how lucky he was.

How lucky their child would be.

Seungmin was gorgeous,
inside and outside.

Such a sweet soul with an
admirable mental strength and
ambition and the looks of the
prettiest puppy in the entire
universe.

He was the love of Hyunjin's life,
he had known that the moment
he had met Seungmin for
the very first time.

“You look happy.”

Minho noted as he watched
his assistant sort the paper stack
on his table while he swung his hips
lightly to a song playing in his head.

“I am happy.”

The younger male replied and
gifted his boss a cheeky grin
when Minho lifted one eyebrow
in confusion as he tilted his head.

“I'd say..
You had good sex last night?”

“Minho!”

“What?”

“You can't always project
yourself on others.”

“Am I wrong though?”

But Hyunjin only snorted,
his bright red cheeks betraying him.

He hadn't known that he was
being that obvious but he
didn't mind either.

It wasn't like he was ashamed
of being happy in front of his
boss and friend.

“I know you, Mr Hwang Hyunjin.”

Minho chuckled as he placed a cup
of coffee on his friend's desk but
Hyunjin shook his head softly.

“Not in the mood for coffee?”

“I'm on a diet where I can't
have caffeine.”

“What kind of diet is that?
You're already fit and perfectly slim!”

“You'll see eventually.. Hopefully.”

“You're so mysterious,
should I be worried?
You're not seriously ill, right?”

The older male asked, his face
now completely serious and a
small frown visible.

They always liked to joke around
a lot but Minho deeply cared
about Hyunjin.

Not because he was an amazing
employee he couldn't ever lose
but because he was a wonderful
friend too.

He had done so much for Minho
when the ravenette's life had
gotten so chaotic because of
Jisung's pregnancy.

And never once had he
complained about it.

So when the time had come,
Minho would make sure to pay
back this kindness twice the price.

“I'm not, I promise.
I'll tell you when it's time, okay?
But as long as there's nothing to
confess, I'll keep this to myself.
I hope you can understand that.”

“Of course, no worries.
You want some tea instead?
Jisung bought a package of mint
tea for me when I had a cold a
few weeks ago, I still have some
tea bags left here somewhere in
this office. I think they're..
Ah, there they are!
Oh! I have hibiscus too?”

But Hyunjin could only laugh at
his boss, how Minho explored his
secret drawer of tea after finding
out he actually had one.

“Mint is fine, thank you.
I actually brought a smoothie too,
Minnie prepared one for us
this morning.”

“I hope it's not one of those
vegetable ones.”

And when Hyunjin stared at him
with an unreadable expression
before he took a sip of his bottle
filled with some ominous green
liquid, Minho was the one laughing.

“Oh shut it, it's supposed to be
healthy and I can persuade Minnie
very easily to tell Jisung that these
smoothies are a wonderful idea to
stay healthy. You'll bring one of
these drinks to work in no time.”

“Careful, Hwang.
This sounds like a good reason
to fire you.”

“As if you could manage this
company without me.”
