{Unexpectedly Expected} [Jane x Jeff]

Chapter 18

JEFFS POV

I leave my room and walk upstairs to Slender's office, where he should be. I barged in and he looked up at me. "Way to make your entrance, Jeff," he said unenthusiastically. "I need to talk to you,"

"Go ahead..?"

"I want to save my brother..."

"Why's that?"

"We ended on a bad note, I loved him, and I want to apologize." Slender nods. "I understand, do you have a plan?"

Shit, I didn't think about that.

"No, didn't really think about that," Slender sighs and facepalms. "I'll think about it." I nod and leave the room.

I walk downstairs to the kitchen and grab something for Jane and myself.

I walk back upstairs and into my room. Jane's lying on the bed asleep with Smile. I smile a bit and place her food on the nightstand.

I sit at the end of the bed and begin eating. I can hear her lightly snoring. I'm pretty sure the wound on her face would be healed by now, but I like seeing her face. I don't feel like telling her what I think.

I finish eating and sigh. Jane stirs a bit, waking up. She looks at me and I point at the food on the nightstand. She looks up at the nightstand and grabs the plate. She sits up and begins eating.

Now that she's up, I turn on the TV. I flip through the channels, landing on a random movie. Jane looks at the TV, watching it while eating. I fiddle with my phone for a bit, not knowing what to say or do.

She finishes eating and sets the plate down. "Where did you go?"

"I went to talk to Slender,"

"Oh, what about?"

"It's nothing at the moment." She nods and stretches. I smile at her and look back at the TV.

I see her getting on her phone from the corner of my eye. "I'm bored,"

"Me too," She doesn't answer enthusiastically. I move over to lie beside her, shooing Smile to his bed in the corner. She looks over at me and rolls her eyes. I lie my head on her shoulder and look at what she's watching on her phone.

She scrolls through TikTok, laughing at random things. I sigh and end up falling asleep.

I get woken up by Jane moving around. "What... are you... doing?" I say. "Uncomfy," she whispers. "Here," I roll over and pull her into me, where she's not hurting herself. "This better?" She moves around for a moment before getting comfy and she closes her eyes.

After a few minutes, I can hear her snoring, very lightly but she looks very cute. I run my fingers through her hair.

It moves for a second and I freeze. I forgot she has a wig. I continue running my fingers through until I fall asleep again.

I wake up again and look at my phone, seven o'clock. I groan and sit up slightly.

I move Jane so she's lying down and get up. I leave the room and walk downstairs. Mostly everyone is at the table eating. "Well haven't seen you all day." The masked bitch said then looked back at Hoodie. I rolled my eyes and sat down in my seat. Slender passed me a plate and I started eating.

Once I finished and started to get up. Slender brought another plate to me. "For Jane," He says. I nod and take the plate. I leave the dining room and head to my room.

I slowly walk in and she sits up. "Oh, you're up." She nods. I shut my door and walked over to her. She smiles and takes the plate out of my hand.

She sits up and starts eating. "You ate already?" When she asked I nodded. She hums as she eats.

Cute... I chuckled a bit.

"I think your cheek should be healed now," I told her. She nodded and continued eating.

A few minutes later when she finished eating I moved closer to check out her face. She let me take the bandage off her cheek and I smiled.

It was a small scar but it covered most of her other scars. "It doesn't look bad," I whisper.

She sighed and picked up her phone, turning it on and getting to the camera. She uses the camera to check out her own face. She uses her hand to caress her cheek. "It's okay," she shrugs. "I'm going to go out." She looks like she would frown but she nods. "Okay," I smile and stand up. I walk over to my closet and grab my hoodie.

Once I put it on I turn to see her watching me. I laugh and walk over to her. "Enjoying your show, hmm?" She looks at me weirdly but laughs. "Bye," I say and give her a light kiss on her forehead. I stand fully and see how red her face went. "Leave already," she says, pushing me away. I laugh and turn to leave.

I left the room, but not before I grabbed my knife. I walked downstairs, making sure to say bye to Sally, and left the house.
