An// I had to break this up into two chapters from chapter 8, it would have been 58 pages otherwise so here's part two of chapter 8! Also, the amount of time it took to get the last chapter to 120+ plus reads (which is when I update) took about two days last week so I'm probably going to start updating twice a week soon! Plus, this story has been added to a master list on Phanfiction catalogue *squeels*

Scott shut the door firmly behind them with barley even a click and placed his hand on Dan's shoulder before leading him to the chairs outside that they had for kids waiting to go into the office. "I've just had to tell Phil the exact thing but breathe, Dan. It's just you and me now, there's no one here to be mad at see? We're going to get to the bottom of what happened and then you can come with us to take Phil to get his arm checked out, alright?" Dan nodded contently , he was okay with that. He allowed himself to be calmed down by Scott and let Scott circle his back with his hand in a calming fashion before blurting out, "They beat him up you know." Scott nodded understandingly, continuing to rub Dan's back, "I guessed as much," he replied softly. "There's just something in his body language, he's too alert and afraid for him to be okay at the moment."

Dan growled back a reply of "No you don't understand, Scott! They beat him up and made Oli threaten and hurt him just to make sure that Phil wouldn't tell anyone. It's sick, Scott; it makes me fucking sick the way these people treat him." Scott patted his back again, not batting an eyelash at how Dan was reacting. He'd expected it more than anything, he'd probably be more concerned if Dan hadn't acted out like this. "I know, Dan, I know. We're not going to let it keep on happening, I promise you. I can assure you that Oli and the rest of the people involved in the incident will be suitably punished. We're going to help Phil, now, why don't we get back in there and see how Phil's holding up, hay?" Dan nodded, he just wanted to see if Phil was alright, he had a feeling that Phil was starting to get worked up over what had happened and he didn't want Phil to have to go through another panic attack.

They entered the room again, Dan calmer this time and ready to help Phil. He noticed how Phil was paler than usual and could see how dark the rings around the younger boy's eyes were in contrast of the death like shade that Phil was. "Dan tells us some boys hurt you, Philly? What happened?" Phil didn't bother picking up the pencil this time, he kept his eyes unfocused on anything else but the floor which was currently very interesting to him. They kept asking him and calling his name but he didn't want to answer, what business was it of theirs? It wasn't as if it was going to help him in the slightest if he told, he would only ever come out worse in any confrontation it caused. He was weak; too pathetic to stand up for himself and stop them hurting him.

Just like he was too pathetic to be able to stop his dad hurting his brother. He just watched as it happened, as his father rained the injury's down on his brother, the only person who seemed to like him in the whole world and yet he didn't do anything. He would just be frozen there in place. He'd dived in front of his fathers fist once, but it had only made it worse for both of them. Neither one of them was fed for three days after that incident and only a tiny amount of water was given to them which his brother would give to Phil who was too young to realize that his brother was giving him his own water and was steadily becoming more and more frail. Phil could remember the night his brother left in full detail, his brother tried grabbing their dad's car keys to leave and then a large fist came slamming down into the back of his brothers head and knocking him down the stairs, leaving his brothers head to crack against the concrete. Phil wasn't even sure if his brother was still alive but what he did know was that the abuse got worse. There was no one there for it to be shared with and so it fell entirely on Phil and he couldn't even bring himself to resent his brother for it because he knew how fast  he would jump at the opportunity to leave that hellish place that he was some how expected to call home.
