Y/N POV

"Now that we're alone my sweet," he turned slowly to face me, "what exactly did you see before you woke up?"

I blinked a few times, processing his words. "Darling," his voice sounded much lower as he said the nickname in a sing-song tone, losing its radio static. "Answer my question, would you?"

"I uh-.... I-I don't know what you're talking about, Al..." the memories of the moments before I woke up came flashing back to me. Almost as if I was reliving the moment of my dream again. Or at least, what I thought was a dream.

"Hm, perhaps this will jog your memory my dear." He sat next to me and lifted a hand behind my ear. "Now this may tickle a little," with that the feeling of his hand disappeared and in its place, a fuzzy feeling appeared.

My head began to feel as though a hell bug had landed in my hair and latched onto my scalp. I brought a hand to my ear in attempt to relieve the itch, but it was grabbed before I made contact. "Aht aht, can't have you messing me up darling."

He continued to hold me in place as he did whatever he had been doing that made my brain feel like fuzzy mush. "Ah, there we are!" He announced as the feeling subsided almost immediately.

I turned to look at him and found a strange item in his hand. It emitted a green glow as it played the image of what I had seen before I woke up in black and white.

He hummed to himself and blew the object out of the palm of his hand in a short breath. The scene appeared before me, enlarged to life-like sizes and still colored in black and white. Although now, the echoes the voices once had were no longer there. Everything sounded much clearer than before, allowing me to hear things I hadn't heard before.

Alastor's chant began, and now I could hear it clear as day. "My darling, my enchanting beauty. Y/N, my wonderful goddess. Accept my offering of the deepest love I have for you," my eyes widened at what I was hearing and watching play again. With audible words, what he did was all the more alarming.

Again, I watched Vox's body wriggle and attempt to escape from its restraints. Again I watched Alastor's smile enlarge as Vox was placed in the middle of the symbol. "Accept my offering and know that I will never let you out of my sight again." Again, I watched myself run towards Alastor with silent screams. Again, I watched that bright flash of light.

And again... I watched it all fade to nothing.

My jaw stayed slack as the green light returned to Alastor's grasp. "Well that was certainly more than I thought it would be!" He announced in his radio host tone. "Quite the performance I gave, right darling?" Turning to face him, my skin covered in goosebumps. He gave me nothing more than a sweet smile and kind eyes as he laughed loudly, his own laughter backed up by a playing laugh-track.

"What-what's so funny Al?" I mentally slapped myself for stumbling over my words. His laughed died down slowly, releasing a few chuckles as he wiped a tear from the outer corner of his eye.

"Oh my dear, you certainly do have wild dreams! If I would have known they were this entertaining I would have done so long ago!" I stared at Alastor blankly, the words he'd spoken computing through my brain slowly.

"Dreams?" I finally said out loud, "that was a dream?" His focus returned to me as he scanned over my expression, reading my thoughts and feelings. He chuckled to himself before placing a gloved hand on my cheek.

"Of course my darling," he cooed to me, "what else could it have been?" He leaned in and kissed my other cheek then lips before he stood tall on his shoed hooves and straightened is signature pinstripe suit. "Now, I do believe you should get some rest my dizzy dreamer. I have a few things to tend to, but I'll be back before you wake." He bent at the waist, allowing our lips to connect sweetly. The staticky feeling lingered on my lips as he faded away, leaving me alone in the large room.
