Chapter 13: A doodle that lose it's meaning

Soobin was working tonight, he had some regular customers including his old friends Jake and Jay.

Those two were brothers, lords and vampires.

They were sitting in the VIP lounge, drinking.

During his break he decided to sit with them.

They talked about not so important stuff until Soobin was asked about what cases he and his brothers were dealing with lately.

Soobin couldn’t really say, because it wasn’t allowed. He only mentioned a mysterious vamp lurking around, drinking from random people. And that Heuning Kai was currently searching for it.

Soobin, Huening Kai and Taehyun were talking with the mysterious vampire now, after they had finally found her.

Her name was Nayi and she was 14, she had no idea how she turned into a vampire or who turned her in the first place.

Soobin only assumed now, without any proof that the kid vampire they found a few days ago and now Nayi were connected by a true blood on a rampage, what was left was just figuring out who that true blood was…

He quickly ruled out Jay and Heeseung, yes they were true bloods, and Heeseung had a newborn now, but they wouldn't just go around turning random people just like this…

Soobin wondered if it was The Council, a vampire organization that had decided to rule over the vamp world after Heeseung’s father had died and Heeseung didn’t want to rule in his place.

But it couldn’t be them, they had no use in any of this… Soobin was sure that they had other stuff to deal with, with no time to cause such chaos out of nowhere.

“What will we do, hyung?” - Taehyun asked Soobin.

“We will use your powers to search for answers, Tae. As much as we can…”

Taehyun sighed and touched Nayi’s hand, trying to search for who turned her. But he felt it immediately, somebody was blocking his powers.

“What exactly happened, do you remember the night you were turned? I tried using my powers on you, but somebody was blocking me…” - When Taehyun asked the girl that, he looked at Soobin with an accusing look in his eyes.

“It’s not him…” - Soobin, whispered towards Taehyun.

Meanwhile, Huening Kai looked at them both confused.

Why are those two always leaving me out? I wanna know what's happening, too. - Huening Kai, wondered in his mind and visibly pouted.

“Last night… I… I was walking home from a party I was at with my friends. I was a bit drunk so I don’t really remember much, but I remember the feeling of somebody biting my neck harshly and when I woke this morning I was laying next to an old building…” - Nayi attempted to explain.

“What did you do next?” - Taehyun asked, even though he felt that she was lying.

“I felt hungry, but not like the normal hunger I was used to… This time I was hungry for blood, that was the only thing going through my mind for a while until I found a stray dog nearby… I killed him, but that wasn’t enough… Then I saw a man walking by and I killed him, too. After I truly realized what I had done I ran into the forest… I hate myself so much! I don’t want to be a monster!!!” - The girl started crying.

Soobin hugged her and rubbed her back.

“Everything will be fine, I promise. We’ll find the person who did this to you.” - Soobin tried to comfort her.
