Chapter 14: I scream and shout, but no one's 'round

Beomgyu was missing Taehyun.

He hadn't seen him or mentioned since he and Huening Kai last talked about him.

But he wanted to see him now.

Especially after Yeonjun had mentioned for Beomgyu to wait for somebody near the lake.

This was the place Beomgyu and Taehyun had first met.

As Beomgyu waited he suddenly sensed a familiar smell near him, but it wasn't Taehyun, it was Huening Kai.

"Hey, hyung!" - Huening Kai greeted, happy.

"Hey, Kai." - Beomgyu spoke out with clear disappointment in his voice. Looking away from Huening Kai.

"Did you want to meet with somebody else, hyung?"

"Yes. Taehyun."

"Oh..."

"But you are enough for now, I guess..."

"Beomgyu-hyung, you deserve somebody who will cherish... I heard from Yeonjun-hyung that your parents want to marry you off to him, against your will."

"Yeah, that's true."

Jay, Niki and Soobin were walking into the forest, on the path that was leading to the werewolf village.

They had unsuccessfully found Nayi, they were searching for her for almost a week now.

It was early in the morning now.

Taehyun had tried searching for Nayi with his ability, but something or rather someone was blocking his search for her.

He had shouted how weak he is, but Soobin reassured him that it wasn't his fault...

They were near the village's entrance now, Soobin told the vampires to wait for him outside, because they won't be allowed in.

There was no need for unnecessary wars right now.

As he was used to sneaking around in the village, Soobin knew where to go to not be noticed. Well, he was used to doing so, after all he and Yeonjun were past secret lovers.

Huening Kai had proposed to Soobin to use Yeonjun's strong sense of smell to find Nayi.

So now, Soobin was standing in their old hiding place, waiting to be found by Yeonjun. The witch knew that the wolf would recognise his scent even after so many years had passed.

"Soobin!" - And as Soobin had assumed, Yeonjun was soon running towards him.

Soobin looked at Yeonjun's excited face and smiled at him.

"What are you doing here, Binnie?" - Yeonjun, asked after he had walked up to the witch.

"Nothing really... well, I came to see you..."

"What for???" - Yeonjun stood there frozen. Had Huening Kai really cept his promise to make Soobin to return to Yeonjun.

"Me and my... friends... We're looking for someone! And you are the wolf with the best sense of smell that I know of!" - Soobin explained with a neutral expression on his face.

"So, you want my help?" - Yeonjun felt somehow disappointed, now...

"Basically. Well, will you help us or should I search for another desperate for me wolf?" - Soobin smirked.

Yeonjun caught up on Soobin's flirty tone of talking and blushed.

"No!" - He simply shouted in Soobin's face.

"No, what?" - Soobin, asked, playing confused. But he clearly was seeing the nervous state of the "puppy" in front of him.

"I... I will help you..." - Yeonjun, whispered.

"You're so cute!" - Soobin squished Yeonjun's pink from embarrassment cheeks.

"You love destroying my alpha image, don't you..." - Yeonjun said, defeated.

"Yep." - Soobin, simply answered.

Jay, Niki, Soobin and now Yeonjun were walking towards Nayi's scent that Yeonjun picked up after a while.

It was a very weak scent, but if the wolf concentrated enough, it could lead him to the girl.

After walking deeper into the forest,they reached the village of the Kim pack.

Yeonjun recognized it immediately.

His pack and the Kims weren't on that good terms, but they have agreed upon splitting the forest where there is enough space for everyone, so there won't be any disagreements between them.

Two big light brown wolves approached them, suddenly.

Yeonjun didn't have enough time to react when one of them jumped him.

He managed to push him away with all of the strength his human form could give him.

When the wolf wasn't on him anymore, he turned into his wolf form as well and was ready to fight, when he noticed something...

The wolf that jumped him had E.J.'s scent. An older wolf from Yeonjun's pack.

What is E.J. doing here on Kim grounds? - Yeonjun, thought.

"Please do not fight us! We come in peace!" - Soobin, shouted desperately.

At that E.J. and the other wolf that Yeonjun had never seen before turned into their human forms.

"You were the wolves that work for K, right?" - Niki, spoke out.

E.J. and the other wolf, Nicholas, both chuckled at Niki's statement.

"I guess we got found out." - E.J. stated.

"I'm so scared of little Niki!" - Nicholas made fun of Niki.

"What is going on here! E.J.-hyung, what are you doing here?" - Yeonjun, asked frustrated.

"Step out of our business little Junie, you don't need to witness any of this!" - E.J., warned.

"Yeah, we don't want the future leader of The Jeon pack to end up dead." - Nicholas, laughed.

"What are guys actually talking about? I'm already getting frustrated with the nonsense coming out of your mouths. You either back off our business or you die." - Jay, talked with an intimidating smirk.

"Are you sure in threatening us like this, old vamp?" - Nicholas, asked with a smirk.

"Why? Should I be scared of you two?" - Jay rolled his eyes in distaste.

"Because we are the ones that killed both the Lee and the Park Clan." - Nicholas, sated with a terrifying smile.

Jay widened his eyes.

Niki was right earlier about K and his gang of wolves.

Jay now wanted to kill them even more than he did so, before.

"Nayi come out, don't be scared, girl." - E.J. spoke out, suddenly.

"Nayi!" - Soobin shouted the young girl's name as soon as he saw her standing next to the two wolves.

She had a determined look in her eyes.

"You were looking for her, right?" - E.J., asked.

"Nayi come to us, we are here for you." - Soobin tried to reason with her.

"I have already chosen my place to be. Lady Jaeseung has given a new life now."

And like that Nayi caught E.J. and Nicholas's hands and teleported them, including herself as well, out of everybody else's vision.

"What just happened?" - Yeonjun was the first to speak after a moment of silence of everyone processing what had just occurred in front of their eyes.

"Lee Jaeseung is back." - Jay, answered.
