It's been a year and I haven't even missed you
The chasm you caused in our circle leapt
As our friendship became through
My distance and loneliness meant nothing to you
You chose your side, I wouldn't leave mine
A loyalty to one built up over time
One who had always been there
Adults playing childish games
Whispers and bitching
As the clock's hands kept twitching
Ignoring the warnings
Like kids in that school we went to;
Beware of how close you whisper as you might catch nits
