The world spins on a string of sweetness
With greed we gobble it up.
Gorging on the jam of family
And the sweet creaminess of friends.
Trying to satiate the starved stomach,
And stuff the sugary sandwich
Of our custard cream lives
Relationships ruled by false additives,
Counting likes and friends like calories;
Until too much makes us sick.
Who cares if the sweetness is fake?
We don't care if the aspartame is saccharine,
We will binge on the whole cake;
Until our lives have gained too much weight
Don't be a Ziggy Piggy
Learn to love yourself.
Detox from all that is toxic;
Give your face a break from the cake.
Take nourishment from your own company and space
