"We will set up camp here." Ştårbrîghţ motioned to around the forest about them. They had stopped beside a small stream and gigantic trees rose about them. It was very secluded with no humans around for miles.
"Why?"
Ştårbrîghţ turned and addressed Mỷrἇ. "This is a good place to camp. We have water and shelter around us. We can camp in the trees like your father's people do. That way any enemy that stumbles through won't find us. I'll show you how to build a camp, set traps, and catch your own food."
"When do we start?"
"We start right now Jåcóbӱ. We do not rest or sleep until we can get our camp set up in the tree tops. Let's begin."
Three hours later the camp was done. Snares had been set around the camp to catch small game and traps had been set up at 20 feet intervals extending in all directions for 200 feet. A fire had been built in the center of the their camp which comprised a perimeter of 10 feet spread throughout the trees. Vines had been used as rope to make ladders to climb up into the tree. Vines had also been used to make hammock like beds that hung suspended between the trees. A lattice work of vines stretched underneath the hammocks in case anyone fell out of their hammock.
Mỷrἇ climbed up to the hammock that she'd made herself. Her body ached and her fingers were so sore from twisting and weaving vines together that she could hardly stand it. Jåcóbӱ climbed into his which was right next to her. He was asleep as soon as he got in it because he quit moving and his breathing deepened.
Mỷrἇ stared up at the night sky that peered down at them through the tops of the trees. A soft creaking sound signaled Ştårbrîghţs arrival as he settled into his hammock. The hammocks swayed gently with the movement of the trees and it was very comforting. Mỷrἇ rolled over and pulled the blanket made of leaves up about her chin and fell into an exhausted sleep. What neither her or Jåcóbӱ knew was that Ştårbrîghţ's heart was torn. He didn't know what to do with these two. Should he turn them over to those who hunted them and get rewarded or should he spare them and train them to be the warriors that their father was.
