Krìgarè stared at Äçåçiå. She was just as beautiful as her Mom, but with the strength of her Father. Krìgarè kept a close eye on Acacia because Kǟǟrme watched him with his snakelike eyes. Krìgarè was afraid of what Kǟǟrme would do to Äçåçiå if he ever caught Äçåçiå by herself. Äçåçiå was getting annoyed with him, but he didn't care. The last thing they needed was for Kǟǟrme to take advantage of Äçåçiå sexually and hurt her.
Right now Krìgarè was following Äçåçiå. She was far ahead of him on the misty moors. Krìgarè was like a ghost as he followed her. He flitted from cover to cover. Acacia slid from view and Krìgarè hurried to catch sight of her. He stopped and frowned in concern when he didn't see her. Something sharp poked him in the ribs causing Krìgarè to freeze.
"Is there a reason why you are following me?"
Krìgarè turned his head slightly and Äçåçiå's face came into view. He offered her a charming smile. "I should have been more careful."
"Not really," Äçåçiå commented as she sheathed her dagger. "I have the same sense that my Uncle has. He knows when someone is following him. I am the same way."
Krigare raised his eyebrows. "Is it from the magic in his veins?"
Äçåçiå shrugged. "Mom says that Uncle has always had that ability. They are powerful in their magic. So are my brother and I."
"So if I am to follow you, then I must be even better."
Äçåçiå laughed. "Yes and I know why you followed me. I am not a hapless female. I can take care of Kǟǟrme."
"You might be able to, but it is a man's job to protect that which he holds dear."
"Do you hold me dear Krìgarè?"
A slight blush colored Krìgarè's cheeks. "If I say yes would you be mad at me?"
Äçåçiå reached over and slid her hand down his arm and twined her fingers with his. "I am touched." Äçåçiå lowered her eyes and appeared bashful. "I hold you dear too."
"Do your parents know?"
Äçåçiå raised her gaze and met Krìgarè's. "They know. They also know about Kǟǟrme."
Krìgarè nodded as he touched Äçåçiå's face with his free hand. "I hate for anything to happen to you."
Äçåçiå smiled as she pulled away from him. She tugged his arm. "Come on. I want to show you something."
