Äçåçiå led the way back home. Two dozen people followed her. They were strangers to her, but they knew her parents and that was they had decided to come along. Their lives were in Äçåçiå's hands as they allowed her to speed up their traveling with jumps through time and space. It was exhausting, but it was necessary.
The stone circle was visible as Äçåçiå led her group up the hill where the stone circle sat. Her eyes searched the surrounding landscape for sight of her kith and kin. A relieved smile broke across her face as she spotted Âkįŀ. He was approaching from the south with a dozen people. They met at the standing circle.
Âkįŀ stepped forward and gave her a big hug. Äçåçiå gave a sigh as she felt the anxiety and fear leech away from her. "It is good to see you again sister."
Äçåçiå drew back and smiled tiredly up at Âkįŀ. Her fingers reached up to touch the dark circles under his eyes. "Me too brother."
A woman stepped up that had come with Âkįŀ. Her eyes were kind as she motioned to those around them. "We will keep watch. The two of you need to sleep. We all need our strength."
Äçåçiå gave the woman a grateful smile as Âkįŀ spoke warm words to her. Äçåçiå wanted to sleep in her own bed, but she was so tired that she doubted she could make it to the house. She found a spot next to one of the standing stones and lay down. Âkįŀ joined her, placing his back against hers. They had always slept like this. In the morning Äçåçiå's head would be pillowed on Âkįŀ's chest while his right arm would be draped over her shoulder and his head would be resting on his other arm.
A sigh escaped Äçåçiå as she felt her brother's familiar warmth against her back. She fell into an exhausted sleep that was void of dreams. Even though she appeared dead to the world, her sub consciousness was always aware. She heard every sound and felt every movement of her brother. If they were attacked she would know and there would be hell to pay if anyone awoke her before she was ready to wake.
