"Are you sure about this Victor?"
"I am completely sure, they are definitely together now!" Victor replies as he leads the bunch of noblemen to the royal guests room.
A few noble ladies also follow them behind discussing, how characterless the Duchess is.
"What about her husband, Lord Arron?" A lady questions.
"I feel so bad for him. That wench definitely does not deserve him!" Another lady replies.
"Poor Lord...he must have left knowing of his wife's escapades..."
"I can't believe this...a noble woman...that too the high and mighty Duchess of Rowells?" The men point their fingers at her character.
"Well I always knew that she was a loose woman..."
"True, what do expect of a woman who openly picks up the sword, reads and writes?"
But among them one man was silent.
It was the crown prince Christopher.
He bit his lips at the rumours but was unable to do anything.
He follows them behind silently, with his head held down.
The crowd stops before the closed door of the royal guest room.
"Its closed! Just as expected!" Victor smirks.
"We should knock at the..." someone tries to suggest.
But Victor cuts him off, "Knock? Why? To alert the adulterers? We must break this door open! Now I need a few men to help me break this door open!"
Two of the bigger men gathered around to break the door open with their shoulders.
"On the count of 3, we push!"
"One"
"Two"
"Three!"
But before they could do anything the door opened up by itself, making the men fall on ground.
Everyone stared in surprise as Arron stood their on the other side of the door.
The husband of the woman they plan to catch for adultery...?
Was standing at the door of the same room?
"Lord Arron!!" A lady exclaimed.
"Arron? What are you doing over here?" Victor twists his brows.
"I should be asking that to you all" Arron says noticing thr crowd.
"Lord Arron...your wife...I mean the Duchess has been cheating on you with another lowly knight! We came here to check that! Even now she must be-"
Arron raises his hand to stop the lady.
"Do you have any idea of the words you speak? Please refrain from disrespecting my wife like that or the consequences shall not be good" He replies.
"But its true! That woman has been deceiving you behind your back with a knight! As her husband, its your duty to punish her!" Another man says.
"Did you see it?"
"Huh?"
"Did you ever see her deceiving me with this knight you speak of?"
"No...We came here for that..."
"Well then, look at it yourself." Arron moves away from the door .
Everyone looks inside to find the vague view of someone sleeping on the bed under the covers
