When did I become a pharmacy tech?
Right after I learned to be my psychiatrist
Because primary care didn't suit me well
At least my doctor knew to tell
Insurance to back these tests
Since he didn't care what happened next
So long as his paycheck flexed
My health was no longer his to treat
So once I learned some biology
About blood and levels in labs I received
Since the PCP couldn't be bothered with me
I started leaning towards psychiatry.
Herbs and holistics healed more than pills
But my brain support begged for more
Too bad my psych is bogged down
Insurance may be another discipline I learn
But first lets reach out about the meds
On hold, dumb music, packing a bowl instead
Name and date of birth, robotic said
Another pause, an 'uh', and silence
'i don't have it in stock, it's due a fill'
No shit Sherlock, didn't you check the queue?
So order my med, I've called in my script
Signed PhD, PsyD, Pharm.D, insurance pleb
