Envy is a male
Sitting squarely on collar bones and knees;
An indescribable tug and then a weight.Feeling the layers of jealousy being ripped off
And the resentment towards the sensation
Envy recognizes the present and the past.Recounting experiences like pennies
Recalling the source of "joy" and knowing
Even if it wasn't liked, discomfort couldn't speak.A waggle of a finger towards furrowed brows
When confusion tangoed with envy
Only to be ushered off stage, unseen and unwanted.Envy is different than jealousy
As experiences create joy,
A feeling that is barren these days.Envy only wishes to be happy,
Missing the wisps of it in recent times
And watching time tick progressively on.He sits heavy
Looking around at all that surrounds
Feeling the weight of the present suffocating.
