On Monday, Taehyung spent most of his time idly in his apartment, thoughts swirling in his mind. The idle hours didn't sit well with him, so he decided to head to the gym, hoping the physical exertion would clear his head.

Once there, he pushed himself harder than usual, determined to sweat out his worries. The clanking of weights and the rhythmic thud of his movements provided a temporary escape. He was in the middle of a set, sweat dripping down his brow, when he felt a hand on his bare shoulder, causing him to turn back in surprise.

"What's with the heavy workout?" Jungkook asked, his tone curious. Taehyung sighed, releasing the weight he was lifting and shaking out his limbs.

"Need to compensate for the cheesecake and all the sugar I ate yesterday," he replied casually, and Jungkook's mouth widened in shock.

"You broke the ever-so-famous no-sugar rule?" he asked, and Taehyung sighed again.

"Yup," he confirmed, a hint of resignation in his voice and Jungkook grinned, clearly amused.

"First drinking on weekdays, now eating sugar," Jungkook teased, leaning in with a playful glint in his eyes. "Am I seeing changes in you, Mr. Kim?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes, not impressed by the statement. He wiped his forehead with a towel, trying to focus on his breathing. Jungkook sensed something was off but chose to ignore it for now, wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

"How was your date yesterday?" Jungkook asked with a teasing smile, nudging Taehyung with his elbow. Taehyung sighed again, feeling a bit exasperated.

"It wasn't a date," he corrected, dropping the towel onto the bench beside him and Jungkook rolled his eyes, clearly unconvinced.

"Fine, whatever it was, how did it go?" Jungkook asked again, more persistent this time. Taehyung resumed lifting weights, his movements deliberate and focused.

"Good," he said shortly. Jungkook smiled but quickly noticed the change in Taehyung's demeanour and frowned.

"What happened?" Jungkook inquired, his concern evident. Taehyung's evasive behaviour was unusual, and it made Jungkook more determined to get to the bottom of it.

"Nothing," Taehyung repeated, continuing his workout. But Jungkook wasn't buying it.

He sat across from Taehyung, observing him closely. Taehyung's gaze fell on his friend, and he became uncomfortable under Jungkook's scrutinizing stare.

"What?" Taehyung asked, trying to sound casual but failing to hide his unease.

"What?" Jungkook echoed, still watching him intently. Taehyung released the weight again with a heavy sigh, knowing he couldn't evade Jungkook's persistent questioning.

"It's nothing," Taehyung said, but his tone lacked conviction.

"So there is something. Is it about yesterday?" Jungkook pressed on, not willing to let it go.

Taehyung hesitated, the memory of the previous day flashing in his mind. He finally nodded, surrendering to his friend's concern.

"Alright, spill it," Jungkook said, leaning forward. "Did you step on her toes? Forget your wallet? Or did you just realize you're actually a terrible conversationalist?"

Taehyung chuckled despite himself. "No, nothing like that."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "So, what is it? Did you accidentally propose?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "No, it was just... I don't know, man. It was good, but now I'm overthinking everything."

Jungkook leaned back, crossing his arms with a grin. "Ah, classic Taehyung."
