"Chris, I don't understand. Where are we going?' Lizzie asked. "You'll see soon." Chris replied, smiling from behind the wheel. "Why don't you just tell me where we're going?" We were going out for dinner, right?' Lizzie couldn't stand it. Chris had been acting different than normal all day.

After more than half an hour's drive they arrived at a beautiful place near the water. "This doesn't really look like a restaurant." Lizzie noted. Chris laughed. 'You saw that correctly.' He turned off the car engine and got out of the car. Lizzie also got out of the car. She had to admit that it was a very beautiful area. A river flowed along the grass

Chris opened the trunk and from the trunk he took a blanket and a picnic basket. 'We're going on a picnic!' Lizzie exclaimed in surprise. 'Well spotted.' Chris grinned. He gave Lizzie the basket and laid the cloth down on the floor.

Lizzie opened the basket and saw a lot of goodies in the basket. Strawberries, olives, toast, sandwiches, salads, cheese cubes. There were lots of goodies in the basket. "I hope you like this more than a restaurant." Chris said with a big smile on his face. "Oh Chris. This is so much fun!' Lizzie set the basket down on the rug.

"Before we go on a picnic, I want to show you something else." Chris grabbed Lizzie's hand and pulled her along. They walked for a while and suddenly Chris stopped. 'What are you doing?' Lizzie asked him. Chris didn't answer and he dropped to his knees

Chris got down on one knee and Lizzie covered her mouth in alarm. Chris took the box with the ring out of his pocket and coughed.

'Elizabeth Chase Olsen, when I first saw you in 2014 I fell in love. We've been through a lot together. I still remember our first date, the nights we watched movies on the couch, the moment Dodger came into our lives, the birth of the twins.'

'I'm very sorry that we lost each other, but I'm even happier that we found each other again. You, Maeve, Jane and Dodger make my life a little better every day. I wouldn't lose you for anything. You are the last person I think about before I go to sleep and I would be very happy if you were the one who got up next to me.'

'Lizzie, will you marry me?'

'Yes! Yes, of course I want that!' Lizzie exclaimed. Chris stood up and pulled Lizzie towards him. He kissed her. They were engaged. Chris broke the kiss and grabbed Lizzie's hand. 'May I?' He held up the ring he was holding in his right hand. Lizzie nodded and Chris slipped the ring on her finger.

Lizzie looked happily at the ring on her finger. "I didn't see this coming." Chris chuckled. 'That was also the intention. I hope you find it a nice surprise?' He looked at her questioningly. 'More than nice. This surprise was completely worth it.'

"I was hoping so. I love you Lizzie." Chris gave his fiancée a kiss. "I love you too!" Lizzie smiled. "Who was actually in on the plot?" Lizzie looked at Chris questioningly. Chris chuckled. "Your parents, my parents, Ashley, Mary-Kate, Scarlett and Colin."

'Serious? So many people and no one tells me anything!' Lizzie's jaw dropped. 'Of course they didn't tell you! Otherwise it won't be a surprise anymore.'

'Yes that is true.' Lizzie admitted. "Any idea what kind of dress you're going to wear?" Chris looked at her curiously. He couldn't wait to officially call her his wife.

'I have no idea, but I do know that me and the girls go to a lot of shops.' Lizzie could totally see it. She had all kinds of ideas for Maeve and Jane's dresses. Two white dresses. Or maybe pink? She hadn't quite figured it out yet. 'That really does sound like a women's outing.' Chris nodded.

There was silence and Lizzie enjoyed the moment. It seemed for a moment as if she and Chris were alone in the world. She never expected Chris to ask her to marry him. She had secretly hoped so, but she never dared to dream it. Now they were truly a family. Chris, her, Maeve and Jane. Soon she was Elizabeth Evans...
