The Devil Within (S1)

Chapter 5

"You're that doll, Nora." He smiled as he looked at her tenderly.

Elenora felt several emotions running through her, first when she saw her family photo after a long time and secondly, when she heard her nickname from his mouth that only her mother used to call her.

"Who are you?" She asked.

Taehyung rubbed off the slight dust on his hands and stood up from his sitting knee position. "Kim Taehyung, tae kimi of your childhood."

"You're t-tae?" Elenora frowned. A few flashbacks came to her mind as she remembered the boy she used to play with in her childhood. He was 7 years older than her but they had an amazing bond together, but unfortunately she didn't remember him or seeing him ever after her parent's death, her mind just couldn't process it.

Taehyung nodded and chuckled. "You seem lost." She raised her eyebrows, "Did you remember me and intentionally agree to check on me?" She asked. "No, it was a coincidence that my next patient turned out to be you."

"Oh-" Elenora sighed and looked at the family photograph in which Taehyung's family and Elenora's family were standing together. Their parents used to be good friends as they were business partners but Elenora remembered the few days when her father was tensed due to his work and they stopped meeting for a while until their death.

"Coffee?"
"Tea."
"Sure."
"How's everything?" The man seemingly the head of the hospital asked him.
"It's going good, sir." The young man smiled a little.
"I want no errors in management of these profiles as these patients are elite class, I hope you get that."
"Yes sir I get it." He said.

"Your father and I were close friends, that's why I trust you a lot, as I lost my son, Ryan, your best friend." Mr. John explained.

"Yeah-" Jungkook nodded. His attire completely professional and his tone slightly formal. His hair were properly dressed and he seemed well groomed, which depicted that his job and professional life was going pretty well.

As soon as he stepped inside, 2 little kids, one of them, the boy, aged 3 and the younger girl aged 2 came running to him and leaped on to him. "Daddy! You're back!" They both giggled. Jungkook hugged both of them while smiling as he handed them their sweets.

"Where's your mom?" He asked as he took off his coat, hanging it on a stand nearby. "In the kitchen." The boy told him in his childish voice which was extremely adorable.

Soha looked around as soon as she heard the noise of the children and Jungkook's footsteps approaching her. He back hugged her and rested his chin on her shoulder, comforted by the familiar scent.

"Any plans for tonight?" He asked. "I have to make the children their milk and you have to eat dinner." She replied as she put one of the glasses aside.

"Hm, I know, what's for dinner?" He walked to the other direction, taking off his watch and putting it on the dresser.

"Daddy! Look Katie isn't giving me the blue lollipop! Tell her boys color is blue and girls take pink!" Jungsoo told Jungkook with his childish infuriated voice. Jungkook chuckled and didn't pay much attention as he was quite tired from his busy day.

The next morning, as soon as Jungkook woke up, he saw Soha getting dressed up. "Are you going somewhere, love?"

"Yeah, just some gathering with an old friend." She replied while giving him a small smile. "Oh okay, enjoy yourself then." He stood up and made his way to the washroom. Soha glanced at the mirror and a shaky breath escaped her lips.

"Someone is here to meet you Miss Elenora Hilton." The nurse smiled as she entered in her room, all messy. "I will arrange your room till then you can meet her."
