That following morning, the DeLuca-Bishops found themselves in the hospital again. With a fresh cup of Sofia's morning pee in Carina's bag, they sat down in the waiting room.

They were called in pretty fast by Dr. Robbins.

''Morning again.'' Arizona said with a hint of compassion. She knew how annoying it was to have to visit the hospital often.

So, I'm going to have an intern bring the urine to the lab and tell them it's priority. Then, I want to make an ultrasound of the kidneys and Dr. Pierce will have a look at your heart. If those three things don't give us any implication that something is off, we'll make a food intake schedule and monitor it from there, alright?''

The three DeLuca-Bishop's nodded, happy that after today, something was finally going to happen. Even if it turned out to be a kidney thing or a heart thing, at least they would know.

They were taken into a room where the ultrasound was going to be performed. Sofia layed down on a table with her shirt up.

''Alright, this will be cold.'' Arizona warmed as she put the gel on Sofia's stomach. She saved the measurements of the kidneys and looked at blood flow.

''Can you turn around for me?'' She asked.

Sofia was now on her stomach. ''Going to be cold again.'' Arizona said.

She looked at the kidneys from the other side, before cleaning the gel of Sofia's body and leading the family back into her office.

''I can already tell you that from this ultrasound that there is nothing wrong with her kidneys.'' Arizona said.

While they waited for Doctor Pierce, they went over the results of the former blood tests and MRI. Carina was a doctor, and even though it's never a good idea to treat your family, it was nice to have a second pair of eyes. Plus, it eased Carina's worried a bit, which was important considering her pregnancy.

Dr. Pierce came in a couple minutes after. She introduced herself again for formalities, and explained what she was going to do.

Sofia was first hooked on to an EKG, which was strange, and Sofia felt like she was actually a patient with a serious condition. Fortunately, it didn't show any abnormalities. Then, Dr. Pierce performed an ultrasound which also looked fine.

The family was starting to feel hopeless. There was one last test that Arizona wanted to do.

She made an ultrasound and another MRI of Sofia's pancreas. That was what seemed to be the problem.

''It's not very often that people without diabetes have a problem with their pancreas. But it all adds up now. Your pancreas produces insulin for too long after you have eaten, which causes your blood sugar to drop. Luckily, in your case it's not very severe and it's not very invasive. We're going to see if we can maintain it using a food intake schedule.'' Arizona explained.

This was, of course, a relief for the family. They immediately made a schedule together. From now on, Sofia was going to eat mostly on set times, and she would always have something sugary with her wherever she would go.

On the way home, Maya was a bit frustrated. She was happy with the outcome, but she didn't understand why it took so long to figure it out.

Carina noticed the frustration. She didn't want to have the conversation in the car, but as soon as the family got home, she asked Maya about it.

Sofia was going to Rachel's house. The two of them became pretty good friends while being in the same class and the same soccer team.
