Akemi Yoshino, sat beside her boyfriend in shock as she was still processing what was happening. Her face was completely red because of what he was doing. "Z-zero you didn't have to do this."

"Why not? It's a promise ring and it's not the real thing yet. I want you to know that I will make it happen."

"P-people will get the wrong idea at school."

"Let them. I don't care what they think."

"Aren't we still young?"

"We're seventeen. Close to being eighteen."

Akemi grew flustered as she ran out of questions to ask him.

"Do you not want to?" Zero asked.

"What?" Akemi asked.

"If you don't want to then I can take it back."

"No. That's not it. I just.. we're talking about something bigger here." She explained to him. "It's a big step in our newly awakened relationship."

"Marriage is for people who know what they want and who they want that life with. I chose you and I don't intend on going for a vampire girlfriend or another human girlfriend."

"Are you sure about choosing me?"

Zero nodded as he placed his hand on her cheek. Leaning down and giving her a small kiss.

Akemi closed her eyes before returning the kiss back. Being gentle as she was happy with him. She knew that for sure.

Zero walked back to the school with his girlfriend on his back as it was dark now aside from the moonlight. He knew they were about to get another earful by Yuki if she caught them.

"We are so dead." Akemi whispered in his ear.

A subtle shudder went down his spine hearing her whisper in his ear. Turning slightly red as he hid it.

"We'll be caught if you make any noise."

"I will be as silent as I can then." She whispered before not saying anything else.

Zero grew silent himself as he made his way to the front gates of the school. Seeing no one was around and rushing inside. Turning down the hall before bumping into the one person they were trying to avoid.

"There you two are."

"Sorry Yuki. I was hurt while we were out." Akemi spoke first. "Zero was taking me to the nurses office and going to go help you after. Some guy went crazy."

"Is it bad?" Yuki gasped.

"A little. I hurt my ankle. I'll heal in no time." She informed and played it off like she was in pain.

"What are you waiting for Zero? Hurry up and take her."

"Right." Zero nodded before rushing past and heading for the infirmary. "You sure know how to put on an act."

"Thank you. I like performing and it comes in handy during some situations."

"It sure does." Zero chuckled as he glanced around before setting her down. "I have to go help patrol. Will you be okay resting?" He asked.

"I have to go see Headmaster Cross but I will be fine. I have my lovely Silver Fox keeping the school safe today."

Zero turned red as he ruffled her hair. "Just get going already, Bunny."

Akemi giggled as she turned to walk away before she stopped herself. Turning back around as she noticed he hadn't moved. Tiptoeing as she pecked his cheek. "I love you." She spoke gently before moving away and leaving him alone in the hall.
