"Are you sure?" Kaname asked calmly. "My offer is always on the table."

Akemi responded before Zero could answer for her as she smiled and did her best to remain composed. "Thank you, Kaname. I appreciate your offer. I will keep it in mind." She remained polite towards them as that was who she was.

Zero stayed quiet. He knew that she was like that towards almost everyone until they did something she couldn't forgive. That was the Akemi he knew.

"It must hurt to know that your little boyfriend crushes on your best friend and will stop loving you if you become like him."

"Hey-!" Zero began to speak up.

"I'm sorry. Seems like you want another nap. Want me to make you sleep forever?" She asked as it was obvious she didn't want to bring it up anymore.

"No... Sorry.." Aido mumbled as it surprised Zero.

"Good. As for the rest, I am willing to discuss what happened with that Level E vampire today and more about them. Could you please continue?"

"Of course." Kaname responded. "I happen to believe that the Noble and Pureblooded vampires' jobs are to eliminate and destroy the Level E's."

Zero scoffed just hearing him. "As if. That's the Vampire Hunters' job to do."

Kaname listened as he didn't seem to mind. Noticing the female's hand that she had yet to heal. Reaching over as he held it before taking her pain away and noticing how the wound closed on its own.

Zero noticed as he reached over before pulling her hand away from his. Keeping it closer to him as he felt her lightly hesitate to hold his back.

Kaname noticed as he sent the male a small smirk. "You know.. the reason why you didn't attack that Level E with the intent could be because.."

"Kaname." Akemi spoke his name as she had a small hunch of where things were going.

"There's a possibility that you sympathized with it."

Zero was immediately up from the couch as he aimed his bloody rose at the pure blood before him.

Seiren was immediately on her feet and had her hand up against his neck. She wouldn't hesitate to hurt him for his threats towards Kaname.

Akemi was off her feet and ready at the same time. Having the gun Zero had given her placed on Seiren before she could do anything to her boyfriend and the other on his wrist as she managed to make him give the gun to her. Giving them a small smile. "Kaname. I would appreciate you being a bit nicer to him."

"Right, of course. He's your boyfriend after all.."

"Yeah. Me. Not you or your little vampire buddies over there."

Akatsuki smirked. "Well, I can't help liking her."

Shiki remained unbothered. "I don't think you have what it takes to make a commitment. If she was mine and wanted to turn for me it would make me feel quite happy." He shrugged.

"I do enjoy her blood." Aido commented.

Akemi watched Kaname make Seiren move away from Zero as she lowered her hands. Putting away both of the guns. "Are you four done?" She asked as she crossed her arms. Noticing them turn away. "Today is Takuma's birthday. We're supposed to be celebrating not to be fighting."

"It's okay. Really. I don't mind." Takuma smiled as he glanced at her.

"You're too nice." Akemi scolded lightly.

"Whatever. I'm leaving." Zero scoffed as he walked away.

Akemi noticed before turning away from him and back to Takuma. "I'll get you a present by tomorrow. I need to get going." She informed him and soon rushed away before they could stop her. Glancing around as she spotted a familiar silhouette. Running in his direction before getting in front of him.

Zero stopped walking but didn't acknowledge her yet. Lowering his face and his gaze.

"Zero you shouldn't have done-."

"I know already. If you come to scold me about it then move out of my way."

Akemi listened to him as she let out a small breathy laugh at him in disbelief. "Are you serious? You want me to get out of your way? Fine. I will but I am going to break up with you first then."

"What?" Zero asked.

"You heard me. You almost shot someone dead and then you start snapping at me?"

"I'm just-"

"Just what? Tired of me that you can't let me turn?"

"No. That's not what I meant or what I wanted." Placing his hand on her cheek as she shifted her head slightly. "I'm worried about losing you the moment you turn."

"You won't lose me if you believe in me. I want to grow with you. Together." Akemi spoke. Sliding her hand up to his. "I want to live with you for a long time. Where you won't have to watch me die."

Zero leaned closer as he placed his forehead on hers. "Then I'll find a way for you to turn. Without his help. Okay?"

"Alright, alright. I won't ask him for his help." Akemi responded as she closed her eyes. Keeping her forehead to his. "So don't hate me.."

"I won't. I can't hate you when I love you the most."

"Say it again." Akemi shyly tugged on his sleeve.

Zero debated saying it as he became flustered. "I love you, Bunny."

"I love you too, my little fox."

Zero turned away from her as he hid his flustered expression.

"Come on. Let me see your face."

"Like hell I will. G-go back inside and get to your dorm." He spoke shyly.

Akemi reached out before touching his waist. "Not even for a little bit of blood?"

Zero contemplated for a while that when he was about to answer her he noticed that she was gone and inside the school now. Following right after her. "Hey! Wait up before you fall and hurt yourself!"

"I am not!" She replied just as she tripped over her own two feet for looking back. Trying to catch herself as she felt him reach her in time.

The two of them ended up in the water that was nearby. Resurfacing together as she caught her breath. "Sorry."

Zero lightly placed a small peck on her cheek. "Just as long as you're safe." He responded. Catching his own breath before removing his blazer and putting it over her shoulders to cover her. Staying seated before leaning closer to her.

Akemi noticed as she leaned in as well. Placing her fingertips gently on his jaw. Glancing into his eyes as he did the same.

His gaze lowered before becoming flustered as he placed his head on her shoulder shyly.

"Zero?" Akemi asked before feeling something was off. Raising her hands as she stopped a bullet from hitting him. "Zero. There's someone else here."

"Hm? What do you m-?" He stopped himself when he noticed her stopping a bullet until she let it fall into the water. "Is that a-?"

"Mhm. Someone just tried to shoot you." Akemi responded.

"You're fast for not being a vampire or hunter. I'll give you that." The voice of a man filled the room.

Toga stepped closer to the two of them as he noticed the way she pulled Zero behind her in case he had another attack planned. Raising his hands and putting away the gun for now. "I won't hurt him."

"I don't believe you."

"You'd stop me from trying either way so why bother? Besides, Kaien has told me about you and how far you'll go if needed."

"Mmm.. are you friends with him?"

"Him? You mean Cross?"

"Yeah. Him."

"I guess you could say more like acquaintances or something like that."

"Alright then." Akemi lightly lowered her hand a bit as she calmed down enough to look composed. Keeping her guard up either way as she turned to Zero.

Zero kept his gaze on the man before finally speaking up. "Master.." He had known who he was from the moment he walked into class.
