Akemi was confused by what he was saying and glanced between the two of them. "You two know each other?" She asked as she was still in the water with Zero.

Zero listened before thinking about it. "Akemi. Don't try to stop him. This is for the best."

"What the hell are you saying? No."

"If I become.. like those other vampires.. like a Level E then I will become nothing more than a past memory."

Akemi lightly slapped him. "You don't get to say that. I won't let it happen. If you let him kill you I will never forgive you for that. Ever."

"Ake."

"No. You can't leave me after you've promised me things." Akemi replied. "You should be able to live your life and find happiness. Not having to worry about your instincts."

"Are you his girlfriend or something?"

"I'm his girlfriend and future wife."

Zero turned red hearing her. Growing a bit flustered by her bold words. Covering his face with one of his hands.

Akemi noticed as she smiled teasingly. Keeping her arms around him in a big hug until she sneezed.

Zero immediately picked her up once he was standing before getting out of the water. "You'll get sick if you stay here longer."

"Take me to your dorm."

"No. Sleep on your own bed."

"No."

"Why not? I cleaned it this morning. It can't be that bad."

"Your bed is comfortable." Akemi replied as she smiled towards him.

Toga watched them before clearing his throat from his spot. "Sorry to burst your bubble kid by he will have to die sooner or later."

"And you are the one who wants to do it." Akemi spoke.

"It has to be done. They are creatures with no instincts."

"Zero is not like them. He's conscious enough to know right and wrong. He didn't bite me because he lost control. I wanted him to feed himself and offered him my blood." Akemi answered back.

"You've gotten too attached to him. I'll have to get rid of you both."

Zero placed her behind him. "I'm sorry Master, but I can't let you hurt her."

Fortunately, Kaien had arrived in time to see the situation going on between the three of them. "Toga. That's enough you're scaring them."

"Headmaster Cross." Akemi lightly spoke. "We didn't do.."

"I know. Take Zero back for now and I'll handle the rest. Make sure you both take a warm shower to avoid getting sick."

"Okay." Akemi nodded. "Goodnight." She excused herself and held Zero's hand. Leading the way down the hall.

Zero was a bit quiet as he was still processing what had happened. "Akemi."

"Is something wrong?" Akemi asked.

"You should stay in your room tonight. Stay away from mine."

"Zero. Stay with me tonight then." Akemi replied. "We'll go get you some clothes and then head to my dorm."

Zero glanced at her as he placed a hand on her head. Nodding as he didn't want her to feel like he didn't want to do it.

Akemi smiled softly as she let him keep his hand on her head. Reaching his dorm in no time. "I'll wait out here while you go get your things."
